End-times Part 12 From The Book Of Revelation Chpt 21
(New Heaven And New Earth)
[Note to Blog Readers: The Expositor’s Notes are in Bold Italic Font]

Welcome back everyone, it has been a few weeks since we had our Bible studies and hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas this year. I am sure that we all have something to be thankful for and has been blessed this past year. As we get started in a whole new year, I want to encourage you all to get started on the right foot, by actually reading your King James Bibles and applying what it say’s, in your lives and turn away from sin and sinful activities. Your sins will find you out and your sins can and will keep you out of Heaven, its very clear in scripture, which is the Word of God. You need to deny yourselves, meaning to die from yourselves and the sins and lustful lifestyles and becoming Alive. in Christ Jesus, which means that you have no rights to live in sin any more. Even though God has not yet created a whole new Heaven and Earth yet, but you can get started by getting a whole new life and thinking before hand and start a brand new life now. How you asked? By accepting Jesus Christ into your life and turning away from the sinful life styles, that can and will send your soul to hell. We are getting back to the book of Revelation and we are towards the end of the book, we have two chapters left and we are starting in chapter 21, NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH.

Revelation 21:1-27 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth ( “New” in the Greek is “kainos,” and means “freshness with respect to age” ; when it is finished, it will be new, as is obvious, but the idea is it will remain new and fresh forever and forever because there is no more sin): for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away ( refers to the original creation, which was married to sin;  “passed away”  in the Greek is  “parerchomai,” and means “to pass from one condition to another” ; it never means annihilation); and there was no more sea ( refers to giant oceans, such as the Pacific and Atlantic; however, there will continue to be Lakes, bodies of water, rivers, streams, etc.). 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem ( present a new city for this new Earth), coming down from God out of heaven ( in a effect, God will change his headquarters from heaven to earth), prepared as a bride adorned for her husband ( proclaims the eternal home of the redeemed as a dwelling place). 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying (according to the best manuscripts, The Voice now  heard was heard “out of the Throne” ), Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ( Finally proclaims that which God intended from the beginning.) 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (actually says in the Greek, “every teardrop,” and refers to tears of sorrow); and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain (addresses sin and all its results): for the former things are passed away (refers to the entire effect of the Fall). 5 And he that sat upon the throne said (presents, for the second time in this Book, God Himself as the Speaker), Behold, I make all things new (refers to the fact of changing from one condition to another). And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (All said is “true,” and God will be “faithful” to bring it all to pass as well.) 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. (The mighty declaration “Finished” heard at the morning of Creation, at Calvary, and now repeated here for the last time, closes all Prophecy. What He began, He now finishes.)  I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (This statement doesn't pertain to coming Perfect Age, for all then will  have the Water of Life, but rather to the present. This “fountain of the Water of Life” is tied directly to the Cross of Calvary in that it is free to all who will believe [Jn. 3:16].) 7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things (the only way one can overcome is to place one’s Faith exclusively in the Cross of Christ, which gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work in one’s life, bringing about the Fruit of the Spirit); and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (The overcomer is adopted into the Family of God and God treats him as a son, exactly as He does His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.) 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars (all of this corresponds with the “works of the flesh,” as outlined in [Gal. 5:19-21]), shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (proclaims the Eternal destiny of Christ-rejecters). 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. (By the use of the word “Lamb,” we are taken back to the Cross, which has made all of this possible.) 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain (the “Spirit” referred to here is the Holy Spirit) , and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God (John saw it “descending,” meaning that it is coming down to Earth; this will be after the Lord has made the “New Heavens and New Earth,” in fact when God changes His Headquarters from Heaven to Earth), 11 Having the glory of God (this is what makes the city what it is): and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal (presents the radiance of God’s Glory); 12 And had a wall great and high (this wall is 216 feet high, counting 18 inches to the cubit; it is decorative only), and had twelve gates (signifies three gates on the North, three on the South, three on the East, and three on the West; the gates on each side will be about 375 miles apart from each other), and at the gates twelve angels (proclaims the Glory of the City, and as well the Glory of God’s Government), and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel (proclaims the fact that “the Lamb’s Wife” is made up of every single Believer, whether on this side of the Cross; every gate will have the name of one of the Twelve Tribes; as well, this tells us how precious Israel is to the Heart of God): 13 On the east three gates (will probably have the names Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan); on the north three gates (will probably have the names Reuben, Judah, and Levi); on the south three gates (will probably have the names Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun); and on the west three gates (will probably have the names Gad, Asher, and Naphtali). 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations (the way of Salvation was shown to the Jews, hence, the gates and the name of the Twelve Tribes inscribed on those gates; however, the foundation of Salvation was not really given until after the Cross, because it could not be given until after the Cross) and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. (On each foundation is the name of one of the Twelve Apostles. The foundation of Salvation Message is based 100% on Christ and the Cross, hence, the word “Lamb” being used.) 15 And he that talked with me (this is not the Angel who talked with John in Verse 9; the one now speaking identifies himself as a Prophet [Rev 22:9]) had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. (The measuring is done for a reason. It reveals the perfection, fulfillment, and completion of all God’s Purposes for His Redeemed People.) 16 And the city lies foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs (translates into about 1,500 miles per side). The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. (This presents astounding dimensions. It is about half the Size of the United States, regarding length and breadth. If that is not enough to take one’s breath away, it will also be 1,500 miles tall. The mind cannot comprehend this but Faith believes.) 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits (translates into about 216 feet, that is if we are using 18 inches to the cubit; as stated, the wall is strictly for ornamentation), according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. (The designation of “Angel” is sometimes given to men, God, and Creatures we refer to as Angels. This man, as Rev 22:9 proclaims, is a Prophet.) 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper (presents a precious stone of several colors): and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass (takes us beyond comprehension! but yet, this is literal). 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones (describes beauty upon beauty). The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. (The flooding of color in that incomparable City is beyond imagination. All of these stones named her are exquisite in color.) 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls (probably means each gate, which is about 216 feet tall, is made of untold thousands of pearls): every several gate was of one pearl (seems to indicate that this particular gate, which is probably every third or fourth one, is made out of one gigantic pearl): and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass (refers to the fact that not only are all the buildings of “pure gold,” [Rev 21:18], but even the streets are made of pure gold). 22 And I saw no temple therein (refers to a Temple such as in Old Testament times; actually there is a literal Temple in New Jerusalem, but it will not serve the same purpose as the Temple on Earth [Rev. 3:12; 7:15; 11:19; 14:15; 17; 15:1-8; 16:1, 17]): for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. (Before the Cross, a Temple on Earth was necessary because God could not dwell with man at that time, at least directly. Since the Cross, the Holy Spirit can dwell within man, because the terrible sin debt has been paid [Jn. 14:17; 1 Cor. 3:16].) 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it (proclaims the fact that the Creator is not in need of His Creation; God has need of nothing, but all have need of God): for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. (The word “Lamb” signifies that all of this is made possible for Believers as a result of what Christ did at the Cross.) 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it (should have been translated, “and the nations shall walk by means of its light”; the words “of them which are saved” are not actually in the best manuscripts; in fact, there will be no one in the world in that day who isn’t saved): and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (This refers to leaders of nations, whatever they might be called at that particular time. All will give Glory to God, and all will give Glory to God, and all will Honor the Lord, and do so forever.) 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day (in fact, they will never be shut): for there shall be no night there. (This speaks of the City only, for outside the City there will be day and night eternally [Gen. 1:14-18; 8:22; Ps. 89:2-3; Jer.31:35-36].) 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it (proclaims a Righteous commerce, and in every capacity). 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie (this means that all sin is forever banished, and will never return): but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life (refers to the Book of the Redeemed; the word “Lamb” refers to the fact that all are saved by placing their Faith and Trust in Christ and what He did for us at the Cross).

John 3:16 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world (presents the God Kind of love), that He gave His Only Begotten Son (gave Him up to the Cross, for that’s what it took to redeem humanity), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.

Genesis 5:19-21 (KJV)
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died. 21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah (apparently, Enoch was 65 years of age when he was converted and entered into this Divine fellowship; the name “Methuselah” means: “The Deluge (the flood) shall be sent when he is dead”; so, Methuselah was a living, walking testimony that judgment was coming upon the Earth because of its terrible wickedness; however, only Noah and his family believed; so the flood came a little less than a thousand years after Methuselah was born):

John 14:17 (KJV)
17 Even the Spirit of truth (the Greek says, “The Spirit of the Truth,” which refers to the Word of God; actually, He does far more than merely superintend the attribute of Truth, as Christ “is Truth” [1Jn. 5:6]); whom the world cannot receive (the Holy Spirit cannot come into the heart of the unbeliever until that person makes Christ his or her Saviour; then He comes in), because it sees him not, neither knoweth him (refers to the fact that only Born-Again Believers can understand the Holy Spirit and know Him): but you know him (would have been better translated, “But you shall get to know Him”); for he dwells with you (before the Cross), and shall be in you (which would take place on the Day of Pentecost and forward, because the sin debt has been forever paid by Christ on the Cross, changing the disposition of everything).

1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV)
16 Know you not that you are the temple of God (where the Holy Spirit abides), and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (That makes the Born-Again Believer His permanent Home.)

Genesis 1:14-18 (KJV)
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night (God is not here creating the sun, moon, and stars, that having already been done “in the beginning”); and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years (refers in essence to “time”): 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so (proclaims the fact that God said it, and His glorious Word Contained such power that these planetary bodies will ever carry out their prescribed function). 16 And God made two great lights (the sun and the moon); the greater light to rule the day (the sun), and the lesser light to rule the night (in fact, the moon has no light within itself; it is a reflection of the sun, hence much lesser, exactly as Scripture says): he made the stars also (God “created” the sun, moon and stars at some unknown period of time “in the beginning,” and afterwards, when preparing the Earth for man, He “made,” i.e., “pointed them in relation to the Earth [regulated them] as light-holders, as measurers of time, and as vehicles of revelation” [Ps. 19]). 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth (refers to their function), 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good (everything is now set for animate life, i.e., “animal life as opposed to plant life”).

Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
22 While the earth remained, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (the Promise is given here that the seasons of the year will continue forever, because the Earth will remain forever).

Psalms 89:2-3 (KJV)
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: your faithfulness shall you establish in the very heavens. (The Law came by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ [Jn. 1:17].) 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

Jeremiah 31:35-36 (KJV)
35 Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name (this Verse is given in this manner to proclaim the fact that the Lord, Who is the Creator of all things, has the Power to do what He says He will do): 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, says the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. (The Promise of Verses 31 through 34 is that of a new moral nature; and argument of Verses 35 through 37 is the impossibility of God ceasing to love His ancient people or casting them away because of their past misconduct.)

Revelation 7:15 (KJV)

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple (all of this particular group came out of the Great Tribulation): and he Who sits on the throne shall dwell among them. (The One Who sits on the Throne will cast His protecting Tabernacle over all the Saints of God, which, in effect, is His Presence.)

Revelation 14:15, 17 (KJV)

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud (the first Angel preached the “Everlasting Gospel”; the second predicted the fall of Babylon; the Third proclaims a warning concerning the taking of the mark of the beast; the fourth announces the Battle of Armageddon, even though it will be some three years yet in coming), Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe (speaks of the Battle of Armageddon, which is soon to take place, and portrays the fact that the evil of the Antichrist will have reached a crescendo). 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven (presents the fifth Angel of this Chapter), he also having a sharp sickle (portrays the fact that Angels will have a great part to play in the coming Battle of Armageddon).

Revelation 15:1-8

1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues (proclaims the concluding Judgments upon the territory of the Antichrist, which will be the worst); for in them is filled up the wrath of God (should have been translated, “anger of God”). 2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire (is that which is immediately before the Throne of God and mentioned in [Rev. 4:6]): and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name (this group was murdered by the Antichrist), stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God (presents a picture of peace and tranquility). 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God (is the song given to us in [Deut. 32:1-43]; it is recorded that Moses wrote this song and taught it to the people [Deut. 31:22]), and the song of the Lamb (this is the second song, and begins with the Crucifixion, which was absolutely necessary if man was to be redeemed, and closes with Jesus Christ as “King of kings, Lord of lords”), saying, Great and marvellous are your works, Lord God Almighty (refers to Christ; while all His Works are “great and marvelous,” what he did at the Cross presents itself as the greatest work of all); just and true are your ways, thou King of saints. (Christ is our King by virtue of what He did at the Cross, and our Faith in that Finished Work.) 4 Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? (This leaps ahead to the Millennial Reign. At that time, every human being on the face of the Earth will fear the Lord, and will glorify His Name as well.) for you only are holy (speaks of the origination of Holiness, and that this Holiness can be given to believers by virtue of what Christ did at the Cross): for all nations shall come and worship before you (refers to the Millennial Reign); for  judgments are made manifest (refers to the fact that the Judgment of God will be poured out upon the Antichrist during the Battle of Armageddon, where he will be defeated along with the entirety of his Army). 5 And after that I looked (refers to the Vials about to be poured out), and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened (has reference to the Holy of  Holies, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept; this is a witness both to the Holiness of God’s Character and the Justice of His Government): 6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues (constitutes the Vial Judgments), clothed in pure and white linen (indicates the perfect Righteousness of the acts that are to be performed on Earth), and having their breasts girded with golden girdles (presents the same attire as that of our Lord [Rev. 1:13], signifying that what they are about to do pertains solely to the Work of Christ; in other words, Christ is in charge of all Judgments). 7 And one of the four beasts (“Living Ones” described in [4:7-8]) gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever (proclaims the fact, as stated, that these Judgments on the Earth will be worst of all). 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power (presents itself as very similar to the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, in which the latter Temple was a replica of the one in Heaven); and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. (Constitutes the last few months of the Great Tribulation. The Idea of no man being able to enter the Temple during this period of time seems to be that no one would be permitted to enter to make intercession, to turn away God’s wrath to divert Him from His Purpose.)

Revelation 16:1, 17
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels (this is the “great’ Chapter of the Bible, the word occurring 11 times), Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. (This refers to the kingdom of the Antichrist, and not to the entirety of the Earth. That kingdom will be comprised of North Africa, the Middle East, and much of Europe [Dan. 7:7].) 17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air (this is the last Judgment; it signifies an earthquake such as the world has not previously known, which will effect not only particular cities, but also entire nations); and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. (The mighty Voice that shouted “Finished” from the Cross will now shout “Finished” from the Throne.)

Do you want to be in Heaven for all eternity? Do you want to end in hell fire for all eternity? Jesus Christ is coming back soon and I want to be in Heaven. Many people has no clue in they are going to Heaven or hell, not even the Christians or faithful Church goer’s, they say that no one knows. I love it when people tells me that, because I will always tell them the Truth from the Word of God. If you deny yourselves and turn away from sin, Believe and have Faith in what Jesus Christ did at the Cross, you will be filled with the Holy Ghost and you will be Saved, that is God’s Promise to those who earnestly seeks Him. May God be with you all. Lets close in prayer.
