END TIMES PART 3 FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION

Bible Study For 8/19/2013 and Possibly 8/26/2013
END TIMES PART 3 FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION

It is really hard to watch the news on television anymore, people are proving the Word of God to be right and true and proving that the ends times are here, as we speak. Every time I turn on the news, to hear about the weather, I hear, “In this mourning’s news, depends on the time of day, of course, there has been another shooting over night and someone is dead from the wounds”. That is just about all I hear these day’s. The world needs to report the news that this whole world needs to hear and read about, about the Good News about our awesome Savior, Jesus Christ, whom is God. That is what our government needs to hear and get back too, that is what the president’s of our so nation needs to get our roots back too. Unfortunately, they want to follow the schemes and follow the path’s of satan, by allowing cigarettes and such, alike, boo’s to be sold, same sex marriages to happen, allowing tattoo parlors to remain open, allowing gambling hall’s and casino’s and bingo halls to remain open, the government allow store’s to sell alcohol, cigs, which I call poison sticks, the government is allowing most stores to sell porn magazines, you can’t go through stores or the mall’s, without seeing poster’s of people in there under ware, not to mention that the government is not putting a stop on allowing people to walk around with their pants hanging down to their ankles and allowing their butts and under ware showing. Ok, I understand about a 3 year old doing that, but teens and adults too? come on, stop it and grow up. Covering the Crosses because they don’t want to offend no one. The sad part of it is, some of our Churches is compromising with the world and the government. They all are in the danger of hell fire, for allowing all of these things to happen. We have sex offenders getting a slap on the wrist and the government is not telling them about what they are doing wrong and releasing them from prison’s. The government is rejecting Jesus Christ and the worst part of it is, this whole world is following the corrupted government, right to hell. Its time for the Christians to rise above this corrupted world and start preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be strong up against the evil forces and against the government. Now who is with me, can I hear an Amen, hello, are you alive or dead with the world? Praise God, thank you Jesus for giving us your Holy Word. The end is near my friends, its time to get busy and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to wake up the lost souls from being dead and bring them alive, through the power of Jesus Christ and to attempt save the lost souls. This is why God as created us, in the image of Him. He did not create you to be like the rest of the fallen world and be to be corrupted. God created you to live like Jesus Christ and to serve Him and to attempt to save the lost. That is our mission from God, Can I hear an Amen? In this study, we are going to continue to read by using the King James, Expositor’s Study Bible and will be used through out this series. We will be using the Expositor notes, with the scriptures as well. You may follow along with a regular King James, but you will have to pause as we read the notes and we will be jumping to other scriptures through out the Bible, for clarification on what the chapter or scriptures are talking about. All lessons that I teach will be from no other book, than from the Expositor’s Study Bible. This book is my College and Jesus Christ, whom is God, is my Professor. If the Bible you use, is something other than a King James, it is not a Bible and not the preserved Words of God. Lets get started. We are going to read, starting in Rev. Chapters. 9-11, which starts on page 2194 and Chapter 11 ends on page 2199, in your Expositor’s Study Bible.

Revelation 9:1 pg 2194
And the fifth angel sounded (presents the fifth Judgment, and as stated the first “woe”), and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth (actually refers to Satan, as the next phrase proclaims [Lk. 10:18]) : and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit (Christ gives this “key” to Satan, although He may use an Angel to hand the key to the Evil One [Rev. 20:1].)

Luke 10:18 pg 1789
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (by the Power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Saw into the future, observing Satan as he will be cast out of Heaven at the approximate mid-point of the coming Great Tribulation [Rev. 12:9]).

Revelation 9:4  pg 2195
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree(normal locusts destroy plant life; but these are not allowed to do so); but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads (refers to the 144,000 Jews who have accepted Christ as their Savior[Rev. 7:2-8]) .

Revelation 7:2-8  pg 2192
And I saw another angel ascending from the east  (the advent of this Angel portrays the fact that this is the beginning of the Restoration Of Israel), having the seal of the living God  (pertains to the Seal of Salvation [2 Tim. 2:19]): and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea(the Judgments are to be held in check),  (3)  Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. (This is not literal, but rather a token, as the sprinkled blood on the lentil protected the house from destroying Angel at the first Passover.)  (4)  And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel (12,000 from each Tribe; these are the Firstfruits of Israel which are included in the First Resurrection, with all of Israel coming to Christ at the Second Coming).  (5)  Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.  (6)  Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.  (7)  Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.  (8)  Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph (Ephraim) were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. (The Tribe of Dan is omitted, and no reason is given.)

Isaiah 14:12-20  pg 1124-1125
How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! (Isaiah’s Prophecy now switches from the Antichrist to his unholy sponsor Satan himself. “Lucifer” is the name of Satan. Actually, he is an angel, originally created by God, who served the Lord in righteousness for an undetermined period of time. When he fell, he led a revolution against God, with about one-third of the Angels, it seems, throwing in their lot with him [Rev 12:4]. There-fore, all the pain, suffering, misery, heartache, death, and deception which have ruled the nations from the very beginning can be laid at the doorstep of this revolution headed up by Satan.)  (13)  For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:  (14)  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (In these two Verses, we see the foment of Satan’s rebellion and revolution against God. It seems that Lucifer, while true to the Lord, was given dominion of the Earth, which was before Adam. After his fall, he worked deceitfully to get other angelic rulers to follow him in his war against God.)  (15)  Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. (This would be the lot of Satan and all who seek to be like God, but in a wrong way, in effect, by making themselves god.) (16)  They who see you shall narrowly look upon you, and consider you, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms (now the Prophecy reverts back to the Antichrist; we know this because it addresses him by saying, “Is this the man..?”);  (17)  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? (The debut of the Antichrist, which will take place shortly after the Rapture of the Church, will not bring the promised peace and prosperity, but instead will make the world a prison.) (18)  All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.  (19)  But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. (Despite the fact that the Antichrist will come closer than any man to conquering the entirety of the world, still, his final end will be ignominious, degrading, and despicable. He will be killed by the Lord at the Battle of Armageddon.)  (20)  You shalt not be joined with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land, and killed your people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. (In this Verse, we have some proof that the Antichrist will be an apostate Jew, because it uses the words, “your land” and “your people.” Some even think, because of the Prophecies of Jacob, that the Antichrist will come from the Tribe of Dan [Gen. 49:17].)

Ezekiel 28:11-19 pg 1422 -1423
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying (the tenor of this Chapter will now change from the earthly Monarch, the “Prince of Tyre,” to his sponsor, Satan, of which the earthly king was a symbol),  (12)  Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. (As is obvious, even though the king of Tyrus is used as a symbol, the statements made could not refer to any mere mortal. In fact they refer to Satan. The phrase, “You seal up the sum,” means that Lucifer, when originally created by God, was the perfection of wisdom and beauty. In fact, the phrase intimates that Lucifer was the wisest and most beautiful Angel created by God, and served the Lord in Holiness and Righteousness for a given period of time. “Perfect in beauty,” means that he was the most beautiful of God’s Angelic creation. The Holy Spirit even labeled his beauty as “perfect.”)  (13)  You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in thee in the day that you were created. (“You have been in Eden the Garden of God,” does not actually refer to the “Eden” of Gen., Chpt. 3, but rather to the “Eden” which existed on this planet before Adam and Eve, which evidently was ruled by Lucifer before his rebellion. “Every precious stone was your covering,” presents itself as very simular to the dress of the High Priest of Israel [Ex. 28:17-20]. “The workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes,” has to do with music. There is every indication that Lucifer’s leadership had something to do with the Worship of God. As well, he is called, “O Lucifer, son of the morning” [Isa. 14:12] When the Earth was originally created, the Scriptures says, “The morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy” [Job 38:4-7]. So, if the idiom, “son of the morning,” can be linked to the “morning stars,” these Passages tell us that Lucifer, at least before his fall, was greatly used in leading the Worship of God. In fact, this is the reason that Satan has done everything within his power to corrupt the music of the world, and to corrupt the music of the Church above all. Inasmuch as the Book of Psalms is the longest Book of the Bible, we learn from this that music and singing are among the highest forms of Worship of the Lord.)  (14)  You are the anointed cherub who covers; and I have set you so: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (“You are the anointed Cherub who covers,” means that Lucifer was chosen and “anointed” by God for a particular task and service. This probably was the “worship” to which we have just alluded. “You were upon the Holy Mountain of God,” speaks of his place and position relative to the Throne [Rev. 4:2-11]. “You have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of  fire,” has reference to his nearness to the Throne [Ezekiel 1:26-27]. As well, the phrase, “Walked up and down,” seems to imply that not just any Angel would have been given such latitude.) (15)  You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you. (Pride was the form of this iniquity [Lk. 10:17-18]; the rebellion of Lucifer against God probably caused the catastrophe which occurred between the First and Second Verses of Gen., Chpt. 1,) (16)  By the multitude of your merchandise they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. (“Violence” has been the earmark of Satan’s rule and reign in the world of darkness [Jn. 10:10]. Lucifer being “cast out” of the “Mountain of God” refers to him losing his place and position, which he had held with God since his creation. It was because “he had sinned,” which spoke of pride that caused him to lift himself up against God.)  (17)  Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you. (“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty,” tells us the reason for his fall. As stated, it was pride. He took his eyes off of Christ, noticing his own beauty as it grew more and more glorious in his eyes. At some point in time, his “heart” was changed from Christ to himself. As far as we know, this was the origin of evil in all of God’s Creation. “You have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness,” does not refer to the loss of wisdom, but instead refers to wisdom corrupted, hence, the insidious design practiced upon human family [Jn. 10:10]. “I will cast you to the ground,” refers to his defeat [Rev. 12:7-12]. “I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you,” refers to him ultimately being cast into the Lake of Fire, where all the kings of the Earth who have died lost will behold him in his humiliation [Mat. 25:41; Rev. 20:10].)   (18)  You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you. (When Satan at long last will be thrown into the Lake of Fire [Rev. 20:10], all the billions he has duped, who also are in Hell because of him, will hate him with a passion that words cannot begin to express, and a hatred which will last forever and forever.) (19)  All they who know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you shall be a terror, and never shall you be any more. (Then the prayer of Christ, “Your Will be done in Earth, as it is in Heaven,” will finally be answered and brought to pass [Mat. 6:9-10].)

Revelation 9:13  pg 2195
And the sixth angel sounded (this is the second “woe”), and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God (this is the “Alter of Incense”; the “voice” is probably that of the same Angel who came and stood at the Alter, and had much Incense [Rev. 6:9; Rev. 8:3]),

Revelation 6:9  pg 2191
And when he (Christ) had opened the fifth seal (there is no announcement concerning the opening of this Seal, as it had been with the others), I saw under the altar (the Altar of Incense) the souls of them that were slain (does not refer to an intermediate state, for the Resurrection has already taken place, and all now in Heaven have Glorified Bodies; the word “soul” is merely used in the sense of the identification and not as a state) for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held (corresponds with Rev. 2:11):

Revelation 8:3  pg 2193
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer (this is the “Altar of Incense” in Heaven); and there was given unto him much incense (represents the perfection, merit, and virtue of the Life of Christ; everything speaks of Christ, and particularly of what He did at the Cross; incidentally, this Alter of Incense that stood in The Tabernacle on Earth immediately before the Veil during the time of the Law), that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. (The prayers of all the Saint are very precious in the sight of God, yet at the same time imperfect. Added to our prayers must be the Incense, which is a type of sweet savor of the merit of the life, death, and Resurrection of Christ.)

Revelation 9:15  pg 2195
And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. (And the four Angels are not to be confused with the four Angels of Rev 7:1. Those are Righteous Angels, while these four are evil. They are executors of God’s wrath. Once again, this Judgment will mostly confined to the old Roman Empire territory.)

Revelation 7:1 pg 2192
And after these things (the first parenthetical Passage, coming between the sixth and seventh Seals) I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth (represents the universality of God’s Administration), holding the four winds of the earth (actually refers to Judgment, which will be stopped for a short period of time), that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (The winds of Judgment strive to be turned loose, but they are held in abeyance by the omnipotence of Almighty God.)

Revelation 9:19  pg 2196
For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. (Once again, we are here given a glimpse into the spirit world. That’s the reason Paul said we “wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” [Eph. 6:12]. As well, that is why all efforts to oppose such are fruitless, other than Christ and the Cross.)

Ephesians 6:12  pg 2071
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood (our foes are not human; however, Satan constantly uses human beings to carry out his dirty work), but against principalities (rulers or beings of the highest rank and order in Satan’s kingdom), against powers (the rank immediately below the “Principalities”), against the rulers of the darkness of this world (those who carrry out the instructions of the “Powers”), against spiritual wickedness in high places. (This refers to demon spirits.)

Revelation 9:20  pg 2196
And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues (once again, probably confined to the Middle East area) yet repented not of the works of their hands (as is obvious here, men do not easily repent), that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk (all worship of God must be based strictly on the Sacrifice of Christ and the Name of Christ, else it is a “ work of man’s hands,” which God can never accept [Eph. 2:13-18]) :

Ephesians 2:13-18  2063 - 2064
But now in Christ Jesus (proclaims the basis of all Salvation) you who sometimes (times past) were far off (far from Salvation) are made nigh (near) by the blood of Christ. (The Sacrificial Atoning Death of Jesus Christ transformed the relations of God with mankind. In Christ, God reconciled not a nation, but “a world” to Himself [2 Cor. 5:19].) (14)  For he (Christ) is our peace (through Christ and what he did at the Cross, we have peace with God), who hath made both one (Jews and Gentiles), and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (between Jews and Gentiles);  (15)  Having abolished in his flesh (speaking of His Death on the Cross, by which He Redeemed humanity, which also means He didn’t die spiritually, as some claim) the enmity (the hatred between God and man, caused by sin), even the law of commandments contained in ordinances (pertains to the Law of Moses, and more particularly the Ten Commandments); for to make in himself of twain (of  Jews and Gentiles) one new man, so making peace (which again was accomplished by the Cross);  (16)  And that he (Christ) might reconcile both (Jews and Gentiles) unto God in one body (the Church) by the cross (it is by the Atonement only that men ever become reconciled to God), having slain the enmity thereby (removed the barrier between God and sinful man):  (17)  And came and preached peace to you which were afar off (proclaims the Gospel going to the Gentiles), and to them that were nigh. (This refers to the Jews. It is the same Message for both.)  (18)  For through him (through Christ) we both (Jews and Gentiles) have access by one Spirit unto the Father. (If the sinner comes by the Cross, the Holy Spirit opens the door, otherwise it is barred [Jn. 10:1].)

Revelation 10:1  pg 2196
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven (this is Christ [Rev. 1:16; Dan. 10:5-6]), clothed with a cloud (refers to the Glory of God upon Him,  for He is God [Ex. 40:34-38]): and a rainbow was upon his head (refers to Peace and Mercy), and his face was as it were the sun (concerns the degree of Glory), and his feet as pillars of fire (speaks of Judgment; rejecting Mercy and Peace always brings Judgment):

Revelation 1:16  pg 2184
And he had in his right hand seven stars (represents the Pastors of these seven Churches): and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword (represents the Word of God): and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength (represents His Glory).

Daniel 10:5-6  pg 1497
Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz (the similarity of the apparition in Verses 5 and 6 and in Rev. 1:13, 16 suggests that it was Immanuel Himself Who appeared to Daniel) :  (6)  His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. (I think there is no doubt that this is a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ.)

Exodus 40:34-38  pg 190
Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. (The Glory that filled the Tabernacle fills our hearts and lives presently in the Person of the Holy Spirit.) (35)  And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. (The idea seems to be that Moses attempted to enter the Tabernacle, but the Glory of the Lord occupied the Tabernacle, at least at this time, in such a powerful way that the Law-Giver was unable to do so. There is even a possibility that it knocked him off his feet.) (36)  And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: (Israel did not determine or decide where they would go, or how long they would stay where they were. Not even Moses decided this. It was all decided by the moving of the Cloud. The great question is, “Where is the Cloud?”) (37)  But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. (They didn’t move until the Cloud moved.)  (38)  For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. (So, the great Book of Exodus closes out with the “Glory of the Lord.” It began with the People of God serving as slaves in Egypt. It ends with them free from Egyptian bondage and furthermore, the Glory of the Lord residing in their midst.)

Revelation 10:2  pg 2196
And he had in his hand a little book open (proclaims the same Book of Revelations, Chapter 5, but here it is open; in fact, He is the One Who opened it [Rev. 5:5; Rev. 6:1]): and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth (proclaims dominion, meaning Righteousness will ultimately prevail on this Earth),

Revelation 5:5  pg 2189
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not (states that man’s dilemma has been solved): behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof (presents Jesus Christ).

Revelation 6:1  pg 2190
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals (refers to the Crucified, risen Christ, and is proven by the use of the word “Lamb”), and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts (living creatures) saying, Come and see. (This will follow the Rapture of the Church, but we aren’t told exactly how long after the Rapture the Great Tribulation will come. “Come and see,” says that it is destined and cannot be avoided.)

Revelation 10:7  pg 2196
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound (proclaims the beginning of the last half of the Great Tribulation, which will be worse than ever), the mystery of God should be finished (this “Mystery” pertains to the reason God has allowed Satan to continue his reign over this Earth for these thousands of years [2 Cor. 4:4]), as he hath declared to his servants the prophets (Isa. 14:12-20; Ezek. 28:11-19).

2 Corinthians 4:4  pg 2036
In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not (a willful blindness), lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ (the Message of the Cross), who is the image of God (Who Alone is the Image of God), should shine unto them. (If men reject the Cross, they have, in effect, rejected Christ.)

Revelation 11:1  pg 2197
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel (Christ) stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein (refers to the literal Temple which will be rebuilt in Jerusalem, with Israel once again instituting the Sacrifices; in fact, plans are being made at this moment for the rebuilding of this structure; as well Daniel prophesied of this event some 500 years before Christ [Dan. 9:27]).

Daniel 9:27  pg 1497
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (“And he shall confirm,” refers to the Antichrist. The phrase, “And in the midst of the week,” refers to three and a half years, at which time the Antichrist will show his true colors and stop the sacrifices in the newly built Temple. At that time, he will actually invade Israel, with her suffering her first defeat since her formation as a Nation in 1948. “Even until the consummation,” means until the end of the seven-year Great Tribulation period. The phrase, “And that determined shall be poured out upon the desolate,” refers to all the Prophecies being fulfilled regarding the great suffering that Israel will go through the last three and a half years of the Great Tribulation [Mat. 24:21-22].)

Revelation 11:2  pg 2197
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles (refers to the Court of the Gentiles, which was the furthest Court from the Temple; this “measurement” is for Judgment): and the holy city (Jerusalem) shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (This refers to the period that will end the “times of the Gentiles” [Lk. 21:24]. At the midpoint of the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist will turn on Israel, actually attacking her and she will be temporarily defeated. He will occupy the Temple, making it his religious headquarters [2 Thess. 2:4], He will occupy it for three and one half years.)

Luke 21:24  pg 1822
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations (hundreds of thousands of Jews after the carnage of A.D. 70 were sold as slaves all over the world of that day; as well, the Jewish people as a whole were scattered all over the world, fulfilling exactly what Jesus said would happen): and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled (he actually proved the case since Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians some six hundred years before Christ; in fact, it has continued into this hour, and will, for all practical purposes, continue until the Second Coming; then the “times of Gentiles will be fulfilled,” with Israel once again becoming the premiere Nation of the world, which they will do under Christ).

2 Thessalonians 2:4  pg 2094
Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God (pertains to his declaration of himself as Deity), or that is worshipped(the Antichrist will put down all religions, at least in the area which he controls, making himself alone the object of worship); so that he as God sits in the temple of God (refers to the Jewish Temple, which will be rebuilt in Jerusalem; the Antichrist will take over the Temple, making it his religious headquarters), showing himself that he is God. This proclaims his announcement of Deity as it regards himself.)

Revelation 11:3  pg 2197
And I will give power unto my two witnesses (Enoch and Elijah, two men who have not yet died, actually being translated before they saw death [Gen. 5:21-24; Mal. 4:5-6]), and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (This refers to three and one half years, the last half of the Great Tribulation. The clothing and sackcloth suggests that the witnessing includes the Preaching of Repentance [Isa. 37:1-2; Dan. 9:3-5].)

Genesis 5:21-24  pg 11-12
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah (apparently, Enoch was 65 years of age when he was converted and entered into this Divine fellowship; the name “Methuselah” means: “The Deluge (the flood) shall be sent when he is dead”; so, Methuselah was a living, walking testimony that judgment was coming upon the Earth because of its terrible wickedness; however, only Noah and his family believed; so the flood came a little less than a thousand years after Methuselah was born) :  (22)  And Enoch walked with God (three statements are made in the Bible respecting Enoch: “he walked with God” [Gen. 5:22]; “he witnessed for God” [Jude, Vs. 14]; “he pleased God” [Heb. 11:5])  after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters (Enoch did not live a life of isolation, but he did live a life of separation. Such is demanded of all Believers):  (23)  And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years(converted at 65 years old, he faithfully lived for God some 300 years):  (24)  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. (Enoch was one the two men in history who did not die, Elijah being the other. He was translated, and as Paul said, “that he should not see death” [Heb. 11:5]).

Malachi 4:5-6  pg 1641
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD(the phrase, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the Prophet,” does not refer to the coming of John the Baptist, who only came in the spirit of Elijah. It actually refers to “Elijah the Prophet,” who was translated about 500 years before the time of Malachi, and who will be sent back to the Earth by the Lord in the midst of the coming Great Tribulation. At that time, he and Enoch of Rev. 11:3 will be used of God mightily as they prophesy in Jerusalem. Their Ministry will last for the entirely of the last three and a half years of th Great Tribulation. Both will be killed by the Antichrist at the end of the Great Tribulation, “when they shall have finished their testimony.” However, after three and a half days, they will be resurrected and raptured [Rev. 11:11-12]. As John the Baptist prepared the way for the First Advent of Christ, these two, Elijah and Enoch, will prepare the way for the Second Coming of Christ. “Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD,” addresses the coming Great Tribulation, and, more specifically, the Second Coming. It will be a “great day” for God’s People and a “dreadful day” for His enemies!):  (6)  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (The first phrase proclaims “Elijah” and “Enoch” beginning the process, in the latter half of the Great Tribulation, of “turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.” The “fathers” speak of the Patriarchs and Prophets of old. “Lest I come and smite the Earth with a curse,” proclaims the obvious fact that there is no word following “curse” in this last Verse of the Old Covenant, meaning there is more to follow. Thank God! In contrast, the word “Amen” follow the last words of the Book of Revelation, closing out the Canon of Scripture, because after “Grace,” which is the theme of the Ministry of Christ, there is nothing left to be said but “Amen.” Thank God! The world was not left with the “curse,” but Jesus Christ came and “redeemed us from the curse of Law, being made a curse for us” [Gal. 3:13]. Hallelujah!)

Isaiah 37:1-2  pg 1161 -1162
And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD. (This Chapter is actually a continuation of the previous; therefore, the two constitutes but one narrative. Whatever difficulties of faithlessness that had previously plagued Hezekiah have now been thrown off, and he is doing what he should have done all along. He is taking his difficulties to the Lord. The Assyrians are threatening his destruction, and he realizes there is no hope except in God.) (2)  And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz. (They should have done this in the beginning!)

Daniel 9:3-5  pg 1494
And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes (Daniel was seeking God for the deliverance of Israel from this seventy year captivity as was promised by the Lord, His prayer was based upon the “Books,” i.e., the Bible [Lev. Chpt. 26; 2 Cron. Chpt. 36; Jer., Chpts.25 and 29]):  (4)  And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments (there is a reference here to Deut. 7:9, from which the latter clause is quoted verbatim. This particular Chapter in Deuteronomy exhibits God’s Love for Israel  and, hence, as that Love is his plea, Daniel appeals to it. As well, one should note the evidence of careful acquaintance with preceding Scripture);  (5)  We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments (Daniel includes himself in the confession of wrongdoing. “Even by departing from Your Precepts and from Your Judgments,” defines what sin is. It is a departing from the Word of God. As it was then, so it is now! It is summed up in the word “rebellion”):

Revelation 11:4  pg 2197
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Both represents the witnesses, and refers to the vision given by the Lord to the Prophet Zechariah [Zech., Chpt. 4].)

Zechariah 4:1-14  1606-1608
And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep (the “Angel” is Jehovah and is the same One in this Vision as in the previous; it is not known how long it was between the previous Vision and this Vision; “Wakened out of his sleep,” shows that this was not a Dream, but rather a “Vision”), (2)  And said unto me, What seest you? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof (the Vision consists of a “Candlestick” with its “Seven Lamps” fed to two “Olive Trees”; the Prophet is told to describe it. The “Candlestick all of gold” describes Christ, with “gold” symbolizing His Deity, even though He will be “Incarnate.” In other words, even though He became “Very Man,” He never, even for a moment, ceased to be “Very God” He was 100% Man and 100% God [Phil. 2:8]. “With a bowel upon the top of it,” signifies the Holy Spirit. In other words, Christ and what he would do at the Cross would make it possible for there to be an uninterrupted supply of the Holy Spirit to the Believer [Jn. 14:16-17; 16:7-15]. “And His Seven Lamps thereon,” pertains to perfect illumination, which the Holy Spirit Alone can give. This is meant to illuminate the Word to God’s People, which most definitely will be done, that is, if Believers will humble themselves and tremble at God’s Word [Isa. 11:1-2; 66:2]. The phrase, “And Seven Pipes to the Seven Lamps, which are upon the top thereof,” pertains to a total supply of the Holy Spirit to the Spirit-filled Believer, symbolized by the number “seven” all made possible by the Cross [1 Cor. 1:17-18,23; 2:2]):  (3)  And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. (“And two Olive Trees by it,” picture, at least in this instance, Zerubbable and Joshua in the work of restoring the Temple and the nation of Judah after the Babylonian activity. However, the Vision reaches on to Rev., Chpt. 11, for two other representatives appear, but with this difference: they themselves are “Lampstands” and “Olive Trees.” These “two Olive Trees,” as representatives of all are, in effect, told to carefully observe God’s method of supply of Spiritual energy, for this is what it represents. It is so easy for man to get his eyes on other than that which is the True Source, Who is Christ, and by the Power for Israel of old, likewise, He is for the modern Church, as well. God has not changed His Methods.)   (4)  So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? (The question, “What are these, my Lord?”, is meant to speak of the entirety of the Vision. Even though he plainly observed it, he was not sure if he understood what it all meant. In reply to his question, the answer is forthcoming.)  (5)  Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.  (The reply of the Lord in the form of a question was not meant to point out the Prophet's slowness of comprehension, but instead to call attention to the answer that is about to be given.) (6)  Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. (The Message of the Vision to Zerubbabel and also to all others, at least according to the need, was: not by military might, nor by political power, but by Spiritual energy, he would certainly complete the building of the Temple. “Not by [human] might, nor by [human] power, but by My Spirit,” presents God’s Method of accomplishing His Work. Everything that has ever been done on this Earth, as it regards the Godhead, has been done by the Holy Spirit, with the exception of Christ and His Crucifixion; however, the Holy Spirit even superintended that  from the beginning to end [Lk. 4:18-19]. If it is claimed to be for the Lord, whatever is being done must be done by the Moving, Operation, Power, and Person of the Holy Spirit through Believers. Otherwise, it will not be recognized by God; in fact, it will be constituted as a “work of the flesh” [Rom. 8:1]. “Says the LORD of Hosts,” presents God’s Supreme Personal Power over everything in the material and Spiritual universe. All is organized under His Command. As well, the word “Hosts,” as used here, is associated with warfare and relates to the word “armies.” In other words, He is the “LORD of Armies.”) (7)  Who are you, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. (The question, “Who are you O great mountain?”, is meant to refer to the Hystapes, king of the mighty Medo-Persian Empire, who made a decree that the work on the Temple should cease [Ezra, Chpt., 4]. Cyrus, who in fact was Esther’s son, had, some 16 years earlier, made the decree that the Temple should be rebuilt. This was in 536 B.C. [Ezra 1:1-2]. He reigned for nine years; his son, Cambyses, reigned seven years; and then Hystapes followed him. He is the one who gave the order that no Temple was to be built in Jerusalem, countermanding, in effect, the order given by Cyrus. The question, “Who are you O great mountain?”, is asked in sarcasm by the Holy Spirit. In other words, the Holy Spirit is saying, “Who do you think you are, attempting to stop the Work of God?” “Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain,” means that the Lord will shave the face of this Empire, with this king being totally removed. In fact, this was fulfilled in totality; this man was executed by Darius I. He was, in fact, removed because of his efforts to hinder the Work of God. “And he [Zerubbabel] shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it,” refers to the Ministry of Christ, which would ultimately come, in which all of this played its part [Jn. 1:17].)   (8)  Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,  (9)  The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. (The first phrase refers back to the beginning of the foundation of the Temple some 16 years earlier, and now he’s finishing it, even in the face of tremendous opposition. However, the greater meaning pertains to Christ; the Lord laid the foundation of the House, and the Lord will finish it. Paul said, “Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone” [Eph. 2:20-21]. The pronoun “me” refers to the Prophet Zechariah being sent by the Lord with this all-important Message.)   (10)  For who has despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth. (The question, “For who has despised the day of small things?”, has to do with the leaders of returned Israel, who had little regard for this new Temple, at least in comparison to the Temple of old. It was humble, with no costly ornamentation, and seemed, at least in their eyes, unworthy of the Lord. However, the Lord was to give them several assurances respecting the situation. The phrase, “ For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbable,” signifies that the Temple will be completed. The short phrase, “With those seven,” speaks of the “Eyes of the Lord, which runs to and fro through the whole Earth.” This refers to the absolute and Perfect Knowledge and illumination of the Lord. Those Eyes being all-seeing and all-understanding, they could well provide for and Zerubbabel.)  (11)  Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?  (12)  And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? (As the Lord had two witnesses, Zerubbabel and Joshua, after the restoration from Babylon, He will likewise have His two witnesses in the future Restoration of Israel. They are comparable now, and will be comparable then, to Olive Trees and Lampstands.)  (13)  And he answered me and said, Know you not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. (In fact, there was no way that Zechariah could know what all of this meant without a proper explanation from the Lord, which is now given.) (14)  Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. (Israel was designed to be, and will yet be, a Golden Lampstand -- gold representing Divine relationship -- which will enlighten the whole world -- Christ, as King and Priest, ministering the Holy Spirit as the Oil to nourish the Light. This will happen in the coming Kingdom Age.  The “two anointed ones” will be Elijah and Enoch, who will come on the scene for the last three and a half years of the coming Great Tribulation. These two men have never died, but rather were translated. They will contend with the Antichrist and do great things for three and a half years. Then the Lord will allow them to be killed [Rev. 11:3-12]; and then they will be shorty resurrected.)
I know that all of you here in this room is a born again Christian and have been Saved and have been water Baptized, which is the key to Heaven. You can’t keep running back to your habits. Everything we talked about is against God and is not of God. If you have stepped out of the Faith and went back to the sinning life style and you come back to the faith, you should be re-baptized. Baptism is being obedient to God.  Who is your master? Satan? or God? Many of you are hurting with keeping food in your fridge, many of you can’t keep a little money back for unexpected things that pop up, like for rides to go places, do fun things. I am not picking on any of you, some of this is a reminder for me too, so don’t feel down about it, just pick yourselves up and make a change in your life, through the power of God. Many of you do make poor choices and decisions in life and that is why some of you are struggling. What do you need the most? Food or “pay per view?” Food or “ the bingo gambling hall places?” If you want to through your money away, put it towards to someone who you can benefit from, the offering plate at Church, you will receive great benefits from Jesus Christ, Amen? As we close out tonight, if you wish to make it right with God and want to walk away from sin and want to be sincere with God, you need to lay it down at the foot of the Cross of Jesus Christ, give all your troubles to God and allow the Blood of Jesus Christ to cover it and turn away from them and do not run back to them. With your head bowed and your eyes closed, we are going to start praying tonight and every time when we meet, or even when you call me up for prayer, we are going to start laying hands on one anther and pray for your healing’s. Not just us, but every Church services should be doing this, along with alter calls, but most don’t. If you would like to be prayed for with hands over you, with no one looking around, raise your hand and we will pray over you. Lets Pray

End Times, Part 2 From The Book of Revelation Scriptures and Notes From The Expositor’s Study Bible

End Times, Part 2 From The Book of Revelation Scriptures
and Notes From The Expositor’s Study Bible

Revelation 4:1-11
1After this I looked (represents the time after the Churches, or in other words after the Rapture) , and, behold, a door was opened in heaven(gives John the ability to see what is taking place there): and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me (is actually the Voice of Jesus, harking back to Rev 1:10); which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter (after the Rapture of the Church). 2  And immediately I was in the spirit (John saw these in a Vision): and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne (God the Father). 3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald (This proclaims the Glory of the God, which is beyond Comprehension). 4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats (Thrones): and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting (these men represent the entirety of the Work of God as it pertains to Believers, with, no doubt, a mixture of Prophets and Apostles), clothed in white raiment (represents the Righteousness of Christ); and they had on their heads crowns of gold (signifying authority). 5  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices (whatever all of this is, it is constant): and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (This Represents the totality and universality of the Holy Spirit. The number “Seven” is God’s number, denoting perfection.) 6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal (presents that which is perfectly transparent): and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts (living creatures) full of eyes before and behind. (This is introducing creatures we have no knowledge of and which are beyond comprehension, as so much in Heaven actually is.) 7  And the first beast (living creature) was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. ( These strange creatures are before the Throne constantly.) 8  And the four beasts (living creatures) had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within (signifying the revealing of their innermost nature and being): and they rest not day and night (proclaiming that these beings are “spirit” and not “Flesh”), saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. (Using the threefold repetition calls attention to the infinite Holiness of God.) 9  And when those beasts (living creatures) give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever (if these creatures can constantly give God “Glory, and Honor, and Thanks,” how can we who have known the glorious Redemption of our Lord do any less!), 10  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever (the action of the 24 Elders, who represent the Church of the Living God in Heaven, proclaims what the Church on Earth ought to be), and cast their crowns before the throne, saying (presents the acknowledgment of their royal estate; it all comes from God!), 11  You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power (unless the Lord’s worth is fully sensed by the worshiper, one’s own unworthiness will never be realized): for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (In effect, the praises of these 24 Elders tell us that the Creation, and that means every part of Creation, Is Going to Be completely restored, and all because of what Christ did on the Cross!)

Revelation 5:2
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice (this strong Angel is probably Gabriel, as evidenced by Gabriel’s appearance to Daniel) , Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? (This implies Moral Fitness [Rom. 1:4].)

Romans 1:4
And declared to be the Son of God with power (He was the Son of David regarding His Humanity, and the Son of God regarding His Deity), according to the spirit of holiness (presents another Name for the Holy Spirit), by the resurrection from the dead (the Jews Crucified Jesus because He claimed to be the Son of God; God Resurrected Him because he was the Son of God):

Revelation 5:3-6
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. (We should look very carefully at the words “no man.”) 4  And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon (This pertains to the fact that this Book is so very, very important. It contains not only information regarding Judgment upon this Earth, but as well the message that this Judgment,as tendered by God, will ultimately lead to the Redemption of the Earth.)  5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not (states that man’s dilemma has been solved): behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof (presents Jesus Christ).  6  And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain (the Crucifixion of Christ is represented here by the word “Lamb”, which refers to the fact that it was the Cross which Redeemed mankind; the slain Lamb Alone has Redeemed all things), having seven horns (horns denote dominion, and “seven” denotes total dominion; all was done for you and me, meaning that we can have total dominion over the powers of darkness, and in every capacity; so there is no excuse for a lack of victory) and seven eyes(denotes total, perfect, pure, and complete illumination of all things spiritual, which is again made possible for you and me by the Cross; if the Believer makes the Cross the Object of his Faith, he will never be drawn away by false doctrine), which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth (signifying that the Holy Spirit, in all His Perfection and universality, functions entirely within the parameters of the Finished Work of Christ; in other words, it is required that we ever make the Cross the Object of our Faith, which gives the Holy Spirit latitude, and guarantees the “dominion,” and the “illumination” [Isa. 11:2; Rom. 8:2]).

Isaiah 11:2
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him (upon Christ), the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD (this proclaims the Perfection of the Holy Spirit in all His attributes listed here resting upon the Messiah);

Romans 8:2
2 For the law (that which we are about to give is a Law of God, devised by the Godhead in eternity past [1 Pet. 1:18-20]; this Law, in fact,  is “God’s Prescribed Order of Victory”) of the Spirit (Holy Spirit, i.e., “the way the Spirit works”) of life (all life comes from Christ, but through the Holy Spirit [Jn. 16:13-14] in Christ Jesus (any time Paul uses this term or one of its derivatives, he is, without fail, referring to what Christ did at the Cross, which makes this “life” possible) hath made me free (given me total Victory) from the law of sin and death (these are the two most powerful Laws in the Universe; the “Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus” alone is stronger than the “Law of Sin and Death”; this means that if the Believer attempts to live for God by any manner other than Faith in Christ and the Cross, he is doomed for failure).

1 Peter 1:18-20
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold (presents the fact that the most precious commodities [silver and gold] could not redeem fallen man), from your vain conversation (vain lifestyle) received by tradition from your fathers (speaks of original sin that is passed on from father to child at conception);  19  But with the precious blood of Christ (presents the payment, which proclaims the poured out Life of Christ on behalf of the sinners), as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (speaks of the lambs offered as substitutes in the Old Jewish economy; the Death of Christ was not an execution or assassination, but rather a Sacrifice; the Offering of Himself presented a Perfect Sacrifice, for He was Perfect in Every Respect [ex12:5]):  20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world( refers to the fact that God,in His Omniscience, knew He would create man, man would fall, and man would be redeemed by Christ going to the Cross; this was all done before the Universe was created; this means the Cross of Christ is the Foundation Doctrine of all Doctrine, referring to the fact that all Doctrine must be built upon that Foundation, or else it is specious) , but was manifest in these last times for you (refers to the invisible God Who, in the Person of the Son, was made visible to human eyesight by assuming a human body and human limitations,

John 16:13-14
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come (which He did on the Day of Pentecost), he will guide you into all truth(if our Faith is properly placed in Christ and the Cross, the Holy Spirit can then bring forth Truth to us; He doesn’t guide into some truth, but rather “all Truth”): for he shall not speak of himself (tells us not only What He does, but Whom He represents); but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak (doesn’t refer to lack of knowledge, for the Holy Spirit is God, rather He will proclaim the Work of Christ Only): and he will shew you things to come(pertains to the New Covenant, which would shortly be given).  14 He shall glorify me (will portray Christ and what Christ did at the Cross for dying humanity: for he shall receive of mine (the benefits of the Cross), and shall shew it unto you (which He did, when He gave these Great Truths to the Apostle Paul [Rom., Chpts. 6-8, etc.]).

Revelation 7:2
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east (the advent of this Angel portrays the fact that this is the beginning of the Restoration Of Israel), having the seal of the living God (pertains to the Seal of Salvation [2 Tim. 2:19]): and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea(the Judgments are to be held in check),

2Timothy 2:19  Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure (proclaims the truth that this foundation is secure, despite the fact that some make shipwreck of their Faith), having this seal, The Lord knows them who are his (This “seal” guarantees the “security of the Church” and the “purity of the Church.” The two go together. The purity of the Church is indispensable to its security.) And, Let every one who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. ( One can “depart from iniquity,” only as one makes the Cross the Object of his Faith, which then gives him Holy Spirit Power.)

Revelation 8:9
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed (concerns the part affected by the meteorite, or by whatever manner God chooses to do this).

Nehemiah 8:17
17  And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua (Joshua) the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness (it is not to be understood that there had been no previous compliance of this Feast, but only that there had been no such joy and general celebration of the Festival; it is the “very great gladness” that is especially insisted upon the - Pulpit)  .

Revelation 7:17
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them (not only did the Lamb save them, but He as well “shall feed them”; not only does our Salvation come by and through what Jesus did at the Cross, but we “live” by what Jesus did for us at the Cross as well), and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters (symbolic of the Holy Spirit [Jn. 7:37-39]: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (All things causing sorrow will be forever gone.)

John 7:37-39
37In the last day, that great day of the feast (spoke of the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles), Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink (presents the greatest invitation ever given to mortal man).  38  He who believes on me (it is “not doing,” but rather, “believing”), as the scripture has said (refers to the Word of God being the Story of Christ and Him Crucified; all of the Sacrifices pointed to Christ and what He would do at the Cross, as well as the entirety of the Tabernacle and Temple and all their appointments), out of his belly (innermost being) shall flow rivers of living water (speaks of Christ directly, and Believers indirectly).  39 (But this spake he of the Spirit (Holy Spirit), which they who believe on him should receive ( it would begin on the Day of Pentecost): for the Holy Ghost was not yet given( He has now been given); because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (The time of which John wrote was shortly before the Crucifixion. When Jesus died on the Cross and was Resurrected three days later, He was raised with a Glorified Body, which was one of the signs that all sin had been atoned, now making it possible for the Holy Spirit to come in a new dimension.)

Revelation 8:10
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp (more than likely another meteorite), and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters ( a third part of land area; speaks of the Roman Empire area [Dan. 7:7-8]);

Daniel 7:7-8
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. (This beast represents the Roman Empire, which was the strongest and most powerful of all. It lasted for nearly a thousand years. The phrase, “And it had ten horns,” speak of that which was part of this beast, and for a particular reason. But it had nothing to do with the conquests of the original Roman Empire. These “ten horns” portray ten kingdoms which will arise in the latter days, in fact, in the very near future. These ten nations will persecute Israel.) 8  I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (At first, Daniel did not understand the horns.  Even though the Roman Empire has come and gone, still, the “ten horns” have not yet risen to power; however, the breakup of the former Soviet Union is the beginning of the fulfillment of this passage. If one is to notice, the “ten horns” were a part of the non-descript beast, which has to do with the territory which the old Roman Empire controlled. “There came up among them another little horn,” means this one came up after the “ten horns” were fully grown. The “little horn” is the Antichrist. Three of the horns will be plucked by the “little horn,” meaning that he will defeat these countries in battle, with the others then submitting to him. This will take place in the first half of the Great Tribulation.)
Revelation 8:11
And the name of the star is called Wormwood (this huge meteorite, which will fall, will carry with it the properties of the bitter, nauseous plant known as “Wormwood” [Jer. 9:15]) : and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. (Conceivably this could take the lives of hundreds of thousands, if not millions.)

Jeremiah 9:15
15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. ( The “Water of gall to drink” is a fluid secreted by the liver, which is extremely bitter!)

Revelation 8:12
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. (Once again let us emphasize the fact that these Judgments aren’t  symbolic, they are literal! Jesus said this would happen [Lk. 21:25-26].)

Luke 21:25-26
25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars (proclaims the Lord now returning to His former subject of signs concerning His Second Coming, which was first broached in Verses 8 through 11); and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity (refers to problems without a solution, which will prevail in the coming Great Tribulation); the sea and the waves roaring (does not pertain to bodies of water, but rather to nations roaring in discontent, anger, rebellion, and war [Rev. 17:15]);  26  Men's hearts failing them for fear (has nothing to do with heart disease, but rather men losing heart, i.e., having no more courage to continue), and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth (Rev., Chpts. 6-19 give in graphic detail an account of that which will happen): for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (proclaims the Judgment of God that will fall upon unbelieving Israel and the Gentile nations, which will have no precedent in all past history, and will have no counterpart in all succeeding history [Mat. 24:21]).

END TIMES, PART TWO FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS

Bible Study for Monday 8/12/2013
END TIMES, PART TWO FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS

I love the Lord and I love preaching on the Truth and to some, it hurts to hear what God has to say. People tells me to stop Judging, only God can Judge me. They are right that God is the only one who can Judge the heart, for Christians, we are to do righteous Judging. We are to Judge the fruit. The fruit is what comes out of the mouth, like curse words, actions, activities and events you allow yourselves to take part in. If you take part in drinking, smoking, gambling and so on, that is considered bad fruit. Many of the Churches are preaching bad fruit and we are to correct them, in hopes that they will change so they may be saved. We are to judge these things in the world. Hey, did you know that Christians, the true followers of Jesus Christ, God Almighty will be Judging the world with Him? That is right. If we can’t Judge what is right and wrong here, then how can we Judge the Big things with God? Just think about this for a moment. God is the final Judge that holds the keys to Heaven and hell. many Churches, people, this whole world is so corrupt and they all are proving God’s Word to be true and showing that the end of this world is near. The world will alway’s be here, just not man kind. God will build a new Jerusalem here. what you see around you will be melted by fire and any person who is living a life of sin, on the outside of God will be destroyed. Those who are Christians, followers of God will not burn, they will survive the heat and escape the destruction, due to the fact that they have God in their hearts and lives, they will be living and will never have to die. They will be living an ever lasting Life with Jesus Christ, whom is God. Christians are covered and protected with the Blood of Jesus Christ. For those who lives in repentance of God, with belief and faith, will be blessed with an everlasting Life in Heaven. Some may barely make it into heaven, they may have a little smell of smoke on them, due to their sins, meaning they almost got rejected into hell, they may end up staying in the first Heaven, which is what you see here on earth. This is the first Heaven, our atmosphere and sky. The second Heaven is where the sun, moon and stars are. Paradise, which is where God’s Kingdom and throne is. That is further above the sun, moon and stars are. That is my desire to Be, in Paradise, in the Kingdom of God. That is where all faithful followers of Jesus Christ will be. Last week we talked on the introduction, which actually covered and already looked at the first 3 chapters of Revelation, so today, we are going to take it, starting in chapters 4 through 8. If you are following along with us, we are reading from the expositor’s, King James Bible. You can also follow along with a regular King James. There are commentary notes in the expositor’s, I will be reading those as well. It will explain the verses and make them more clearer. Lets get started, starting in Rev. chapter 4, if you have an expositor’s Bible, it starts on page 2188. Rev. Chapter 5:2, include Romans 1:4, page 1969 in your expositor’s Bible. Back to Revelation, 5:3. Rev. 5:6, include Isaiah 11:2, which is page 1120 in your expositor’s, and Romans 8:2, page 1983, 1Peter 1:18-20 page 2153 and John 16:13-14 page 1885 in the expositor’s. Rev. 7:2, Read 2 Timothy 2:19, Page 2109 in Exp Study Bible. Rev. 8:9, include Neh. 8:17, page 809 in exp. Rev. 7:17, include John 7:37-39 page 1859 in exp. Dan. 7:7-8 exp. 1488. Jer. 9:15, page 1249 Rev. 8:12 include exp. Luke 21:25-26 on page 1822. Next week, we will continue in this book of Revelation, beginning in Chapter 9, with the expositor notes. I do pray every day, that each day all of you live do take the time to pray on your own each day and keep on striding to live more like God and working hard at stop sinning. God Loves you and wants to save you. Jesus did all the hard work for you, you need to do your part and you can make it to the Kingdom of God. It starts at the Cross, you have to leave it there and turn away from sin, not to it but, away, 100 percent away and give your life to God. He can change you from the inside to out. Start walking and living in the likeness of God today, its not to late, but tomorrow might be to late. By having faith and believing in what Jesus Christ did for you on the Cross and accepting Him into your hearts and being Baptized by the Holy Ghost is what saves, to be obedient to God, by being water Baptized is being obedient to God, that is the Key to Heaven. Please allow me to make one thing clear, the thief on the Cross was on His death bed, so to speak, He cried out before dieing and asked to be forgiven by God, He was saved and went to got Saved and went to Heaven. People who are bed bound and have health problem and can’t get around easily, will be in Heaven by accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts, believing and having faith in the Cross and what Jesus did on there, will be saved. However, people like me and those who has it together, we have no excuses for not doing what the Bible teaches on the subject. I will not argue about the Word of God, all’s I am doing is preaching the Truth. If you have an issue about this, just take the time to read your King James Bible and take it up with God, He is the one who breathed and spoke this Truth. Lets close in Prayer

END TIMES, PART ONE FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS. Introduction.

Monday's Bible Study for 8/5/2013
END TIMES, PART ONE FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS. Introduction.

Everyday is a brand new day for a Christian and for someone who is growing in the Lords Will, attends to see things going totally wrong in the world. There are so many people who are living on the outside of the Lord God and are proving God’s Word, the Bible to be very true. We have people killing people out of greed, anger and such. We have abortions going on, which is murder. We have young teens and adults doing suicides, which is also murder. We have people pushing drugs, people raping others, we have people drinking alcohol and poisoning God’s temple with smoking. I am so sick of it and so is God. He created you to be like Him and not like satan. God wants to save you from going to hell but, if your going to live in disobedience to Him?. Your not going to make it to heaven by living disobedient. Your proving that the end times is near. Before we go into the first chapter and verse of Revelation chapter 1, I would like to acquaint you with the penman, John the Apostle. I believe that God Himself is the author of the Bible. That includes the book of Revelation as all writing in the bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, ( About the Bible ) but the penman was the apostle John. History of the Bible's English Origin John was the beloved of Jesus. He and James were the sons of Zebedee, the sons of thunder. John was one of the younger of the disciples. He loved Jesus so much that John was known as the disciple of love. He would lay his head on Jesus' chest. He adored Jesus. It seems that Jesus felt the very same way about John. It was John that Jesus entrusted his mother to. Whenever three disciples went aside with Jesus, as they did at the transfiguration, John was one of them. John was there at the Garden of Gethsemane, waiting while Jesus prayed. John loved Jesus so much, that he was never very far from Jesus. It seemed that this great love that John had for Jesus helped him to understand the person of Jesus more than any other disciple. In the book of John, John shows Jesus as God manifest in the flesh. The first few scriptures say,John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:2 "The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." Now look at verse 14. John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. This gives no doubt that it was Jesus who made everything including the earth, heavens, sun, moon, oceans and He created man as seen in the first 3 scriptures of the Gospel of John. But verse 14 tells us that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us as the true Son of God. The four gospels show Jesus as a Lion, Calf, Man, and Eagle. The Eagle is symbolic of God. This is the message that John brought in his gospel, that Jesus was in fact God who took on the form of flesh and dwelt among us. John knew Jesus better than any of the other disciples. He even knew Him better than Paul knew Him. There was something very special about John's relationship with Jesus. John's mother knew of this closeness and even asked Jesus for James and John to sit on His right and left hand in His kingdom. Jesus answered her and said that these positions were not His to give. John was the only disciple present at Jesus' crucifixion (that the Bible mentions). John penned several books in the Bible besides Revelation. The Gospel of John, and First, Second, and Third John are written by him, as well. Second John is even a mystery today. So much discussion surrounds this little book, because no one knows for sure who it was addressed to. Was it a woman that John knew from his age? Was it all women in general? Was it Christian ladies of all ages? Was it written to the church? Was it written for our day to some woman prophetically? Only John and God know. So many people are carried away with Paul's writings (and they are wonderful), but my favorite penman is John. John knew Jesus personally. He walked and talked with Jesus as He ministered here on the earth. John saw the miracles. He was there when Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount. He had first hand knowledge. Paul had a brief encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, but his other knowledge was by revelation. He was carried into heaven for a brief encounter as well, but most of his knowledge of Jesus came when he was three years in the wilderness studying and communing with God in prayer. Paul's writings are not to be diminished in any way, but John's writings seem to understand the purpose of Jesus' ministry more than anyone. He knew Jesus' mission. John understood that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice; that Jesus' blood would be sufficient to destroy death and sin. John knew that Jesus was God the Word. The Lord, in his three years of ministry here on the earth, seemed to be with Peter, James, and John even more than with any of the other disciples. The thing that really stands out is that John was so bold for Jesus that he was banished to the Isle of Patmos. John was so devoted, that even though there was no other one there, he was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day. Many writers think that John had been fasting for seven days when he received the information for Revelation. There is really no mention of this in the Bible, however. Just the name of the manuscript gets me excited. The Revelation of John the Divine and The Revelation of Jesus Christ our Lord Given by John the Divine are just two names that this book took on in various Bibles. John was not just an ordinary man that walked the earth. He was one who had touched and felt physically and even emotionally the Lord Jesus. One of the unusual things about the book of Revelation is that it is the only book in the Bible that contains a promise to everyone that reads it, and all that hear it will be abundantly blessed. The early church read the book of Revelation in its entirety every time they met. There was a curse spoken at the end of Revelation to anyone who tampered with the contents of the Bible. Some of the Scriptures in this book were for John's time. Most of the Scriptures in this book were for future events, especially the end of the Gentile age, the end of the world, and the 1000 year reign of Christ on the earth, then all of eternity in heaven. You will notice that the number seven, which means spiritually complete, is all through Revelation. We will also see in Revelation a restoration to man of the blessings of the Garden of Eden in heaven. We will see again the tree of life and the water present. We will see access to the tree of life, which was lost in Genesis, restored in Revelation. The book itself says that it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The chain of information came from the Father God to Jesus, then to Jesus' angel, then to John, and John was to write it down, and give it to Jesus' servants. This book was probably penned around 96 A.D. There is no proof of an absolute date. It is just as alive today as it was when it was written. So it doesn't matter when it was written. We must remember, and I stress again, that John was banished to the Isle of Patmos, off the western coast of Asia Minor, because of his boldness in speaking of Jesus Christ. He loved Jesus more than he feared punishment from the authorities. Alone, with no other believers to share with, John had been left out there to die. The authorities assumed that there was nothing he could do out there to promote this Jesus. How wrong they were. He wrote the book of Revelation which would witness for him until the Lord returns. His witness is even stronger today than when he walked upon the earth. We must look at and understand the symbols we see to truly understand this book. Revelation is easily understood if the Holy Spirit of God reveals to us the symbols within. Revelation is not a horror story as many believe. To the Christian there are wonderful promises of a fantastic future. It is only a horror for those who have decided for all of eternity to refuse the free gift of salvation that Jesus offers to whosoever will. In many of the books, it is indefinite who says some of the things, but in Revelation it is Jesus speaking and He is the Truth. Jesus not only knows the end from the beginning, He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. There is nothing before Him and nothing after Him. Many people believe that the things in Revelation have already happened. Many others believe that the things in Revelation are not even real, that they are a vision and we are not supposed to take it literally. There are others (and I am one of them) that believe it is current, happening now, and in the very near future. I really will not argue with anyone about any of this. All I can relate is what it means to me, and that is what I will attempt to do in this study with the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God. In Revelation, it appears to me, that our Lord is pulling the curtain aside and allowing us to see what He really is and what He expects from us. Many people call this the Apocalypse which means the revealing. Revelation is written in symbols so that people can not understand with their mind but must have faith. So many things in the Bible are veiled to the nonbeliever. So many people look at the Bible literally, but to truly understand, we must understand it through the Spirit. The veil in the temple was torn from the top to the bottom when Jesus died on the cross. This signifies that Jesus has opened the way to the Father for us. God the Father is no longer unreachable. Jesus opened the way to Him for us. Now we pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. We need no other go between. The Holy Spirit of God reveals the Scriptures to the believer. He is our Teacher and Guide. There are so many ways to study the scriptures such as types and shadows. This looks at the Holy City as a type of the Lamb's wife. We will look at these scriptures a dozen different ways. I believe in this study God will reveal Himself to us. Jesus in the Scriptures calls Himself the Alpha and Omega, the Genesis, and Revelation. He was promised in Genesis and the fulfillment takes place in Revelation. We will see throughout this study as we will throughout the entire Bible, that for every blessing God promises, there is a warning of curses, if we do not follow the Lord. We will touch on the 144,000 which some denominations base their entire belief upon. This 144,000 are physical Israel, in my opinion, and we will see also the large number of people around the throne in heaven when this 144,000 are here upon the earth. Those in heaven are the believers (beyond number) who have on white robes washed in the blood of the Lamb of God. Revelation, as well as the whole Bible, is of no private interpretation. Revelation is not a horror story for the Christians. Revelation tells us of the wonderful provisions made for the believers. We read about the tree of life, and the river of water which flows from the throne of God. What was shown to John in this vision is shown to all believers by John's written account. John makes us realize that not only did John speak the message God gave him, but actually describes God's very nature in Revelation. There is no question in my mind that this John is the very same who walked with Jesus. "Revelation" means the unveiling of Divine mysteries. Christ is both the Mystery and the Revealer of the mystery. The Revealer is God the Son. Read the following scriptures from the pen of John to better understand how well John knew Jesus. John was the only penman who called Jesus "The Word" and "The Lamb". The name "Word is in John 1:1, and we see Jesus as "The Lamb of God" in John 1:29, 1:36 and as "the Lamb" in Rev. 7:17, 14:10, 15:3, 19:9, 21:22, 21:23, and 22:1. Also in Revelation 5:6 there is a reference to "a Lamb", referring to Christ. Revelation, Chapter 1. 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: We start Revelation chapter one with not a "theological" trip, but a spiritual journey into the future as we begin the study of the Book of Revelation written by John the Apostle while imprisoned on the Island of Patmos. John didn't receive a dry, dead, theological explanation of future events. He received a powerful, dynamic, life changing prophetic revelation. He received a revelation of Christ in all His Glory, he saw into the throne room of Heaven, and he received a supernatural unveiling of God's end time plan. It was so awesome that John actually fell down as though he were dead: The Greek word, Apokalupsis, means to "reveal" or "unveil" that which is hidden. The term "signified" does not mean that this is a book of unknowable signs, but that God signified by the miraculous presence of the announcing angel that the message was from Him. This Revelation is a revealing of the mysteries of Jesus Christ. God the Father gives this message to Jesus, Jesus gives it to His personal angel, the angel gives the message to John, and John writes this message to all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. This message is given to John to encourage the Christians. These Christians should not be caught unaware. These things must come to pass because it is the will of the Father. "Signified" means made known by symbol and figure. Some might say signs which reveal God's truth. Angels are ministering spirits. This particular angel was Jesus' own personal angel who brought this message. "Jesus Christ" means the Savior, the Anointed One. 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. To "bare record" indicates that John actually saw these things. John proclaims in his books that he is an eye witness testifying of all he saw and heard. John could easily bear record of the Word (Jesus). He was a daily companion of Jesus. This particular Scripture however is speaking of the things that John sees in his visions. The testimony of Jesus is salvation to all who believe. 1:3 Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand. The first of a sevenfold blessing is pronounced in Rev. 1 v.3 and expanded in the remainder of the book. As a child of God, each of these blessings are yours to claim: A blessing is pronounced upon those who read, hear, and keep those things written in the Book of Revelation: Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. The early church read the entire book of Revelation every time they met. This is the only book in the Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it, and those who listen to it being read. The preacher and the congregation that heed the teachings taught here will be blessed. "The time is at hand." is an interesting true statement. Even the people that read these things a thousand years ago saw this happen in sixty or seventy years, because they died. Of course, it is even more current to our generation, because the rapture of the church is imminent. 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; John became the apostolic leader of the church at Ephesus following the death of Paul and the destruction of Jerusalem by Rome (A.D. 70). The Ephesian church had established a number of daughter churches throughout the province of Asia (western Asia Minor), and John exercised pastoral and apostolic care of them. The blessing of verse 4 comes from the triune God-head: God the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ. Him which is a paraphrase of the name Jehovah or Yahweh (Ex 3:14): "I AM," The number seven means spiritually complete. I believe this number is symbolic of all churches for all time. These seven churches were probably literal churches of that day as well as giving us a view of the churches of our day in general. These seven Spirits take in all the Spirits of God. There are actually many more than seven Spirits. This seven is a symbolic number meaning all. "Spirits" is capitalized so this is the Holy Spirit in all His workings. When it speaks of these Spirits ever before the throne, we see Teacher, Guide, Helper, Provider, just a few of the works of the Holy Spirit. John explains in this who Jesus is. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Jesus Christ is the faithful witness in that He has finished His work of revealing the Father (John 17), the first begotten of the dead in that He is the firstfruits of the first resurrection (Rev. 20:6). We see in verse 4 and 5 the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As we said Jesus' witness is faithful, because He is the Truth. Jesus was the very first person ever resurrected. There was someone who went to heaven before, Enoch, when he was carried away into heaven mysteriously disappearing from the earth because he pleased God. Then there was Elijah, who was carried to heaven in a whirlwind accompanied by the chariot of fire. Neither of these, however, were resurrected. They were never buried. Lazarus rose as did several others the bible mentions, but only to die again. Christ rose to die no more as will all believers in Christ. We read in Matthew 27: verses 52 and 53 "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose," "And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." Notice here that these saints' bodies were resurrected after Jesus' resurrection. You see Jesus' body was the first body to rise from the grave. Notice, too, that we are spoken of as rulers in verse 5 of Revelation. During the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ here upon the earth, we Christians will rule with Him. We will not be His equal, however. This tells us that He will be ruler above us. The love that is spoken of here, that He has for us, is "agape love". This is love beyond our comprehension. So much love that He willingly suffered the pain and humiliation of the cross for us. I love the song that says "when He was on the cross, I was on His mind" How true this is. He died for us individually. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 It is this precious blood that cleanses us from all unrighteousness. We take on His righteousness. This love that Jesus has for us is not in the past tense, but is still just as powerful today. His love is never ending. 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. The most important statement in V-6 is that Jesus is called God. The statement "God and his Father" leaves no doubt that Jesus was, is, and always will be God. Notice, too, that it is nothing we do that makes us kings and priests. Jesus made us kings and priests. We will sit on thrones in heaven with Jesus. There is no greater glory due anyone than Jesus who actually did all the work. We see that Jesus is supreme in dominion in Philippians 2:9 -11 "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:" "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;" "And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Each Christian shares in Jesus' priesthood. He is the High Priest forever. So be it. Forever never ends. In the true church, no one is called "priest" (singular) except Christ. Believers are part of a "royal Priesthood" in Christ (1 Peter 2: v.9; Rev. 5:10). The glory and dominion (authority) of Christ are emphasized throughout the book. (Romans 5: v.8; 1 John 3: v.16). Washed us: Believers have been redeemed from their sins through the blood and death of Christ. Made us kings and priests: 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they [also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. This truth is the great hope and expectation of all true believers today and it is the theme of Revelation. The death and resurrection of Christ and the promise of His second coming are the foundation of our hope. They were a great source of strength to the Early Church and are even more so to us today as we move into the final days of time before Christ's return. This verse reveals how Jesus will return. He will come in the same manner in which He ascended into Heaven: The interesting thing here is Jesus is coming in the clouds just as the angels said He would in Acts. In chapter one of Acts, Jesus was caught up to heaven in the clouds and the disciples were told by the angels, that Jesus would come back the same way. Acts 1: verses 9 -11 "And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight." "And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;" "Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Some people believe Jesus' return will be secret, I do not. How could every eye see Him, if He came back secretly? Don't you know that there will be some grieving people, when they realize who Jesus really is? Wouldn't you hate to be the one who spit on Him, or the one who drove the nails in His hands, or even the Scribes and Pharisees? Anyone who rejected Him will have grief beyond explanation. The grief will be so great that they will be moaning and grating their teeth. Here John indicated in V-7, even if this is so, let it be. The terrible thing even worse than the first crucifixion for our sins is the terrible times when we, knowing better, crucify Him all over again. We must walk in our salvation. We must not enter back into sin after we have been freed from sin by His precious blood. 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. The first words of Jesus to John personally identify him with the "I AM' of Scripture, for He calls Himself the "Alpha and Omega." These are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The title signifies, in the language of communication, the completeness with which God revealed Himself to mankind through Christ. This is nothing less than an official affirmation by Jesus of His personal deity. No ordinary human would ever say of himself, "I am the first and last." We see here that God the Father, God the Word, and God the Holy Spirit are all three eternal. They each have no beginning and no end. Their Spirit is one. Their embodiments are three. "Almighty" indicates the power of the Godhead as being unlimited and omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. There is no other power. This word indicates power beyond human imagination. Jesus is equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. All three are the Spirit of God. They have separate personalities. This is Jesus speaking when He says "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending". It is red in my Bible indicating Jesus' own spoken words. This leaves no doubt who He is. 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. John identifies with the suffering believers in Rev. 1 v.9 by referring to himself as their "brother, and companion in tribulation," then he describes the place where he received the Revelation, exiled and alone on the Isle of Patmos. Can't you just visualize John standing there on the Lord's Day, alone, forsaken, cold, and weary? The sound of the howling wind echoes through the Rocky Mountains. The waves crash upon the deserted jagged shoreline. As John is speaking here, he is not a god but a person, as we are. Truly he is an anointed servant of Jesus. He explains that believers in Jesus, then and now, will have tribulation. Tribulation is to make believers strong. Also to see, if under stressful situations, we still believe. This new message the church is sending out that Christians do not have problems is in error. In the Old and New Testament, men and women of God have had to stand midst tribulations and trials. Even Jesus was tried forty days and nights. Problems come to all. The difference is in the way you handle the problems. John was not trying to impress anyone of how spiritual he was. He was alone on the isle of Patmos. The authorities had sent John to this isle to stop him from proclaiming Jesus. But we see that God had plans for this stay, as well. God's purpose in John being on the isle was to receive the Word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus. The enemy planned evil for John's stay here, but God turned something bad into something wonderful for all time. John was full of patience, not his own, but the patience of Jesus. John knew the bottom line about the kingdom, as well. This was not a time of despair; he found this a great time to be with Jesus with no interruptions. Romans 5: v.3 "And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;" Acts 14: "Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God." This isle of Patmos was a special place for what we would call hardened criminals. It was in exile that Jacob met God at Bethel. God helps us in our greatest need. Moses was in exile when he saw the burning bush. Elijah heard the still quiet voice of God while he was running for safety. Daniel was also in exile when he saw the Ancient of Days. Sometimes God must get us alone before He can reveal Himself to us. 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, We note here that John was in the Spirit. Spirit is capitalized. This indicates that John was totally consumed by the Holy Spirit. This great voice is an awesome sound. There is no question whose voice this is. When the Lord returns and blows the silver trumpet to redeem His people from the earth, it will actually be His voice, which is like a trumpet. God's voice frightened the children of Israel on their way to the Promised Land. They thought it thundered the voice was so great. 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. But as John begins to worship God, something supernatural occurs. Suddenly, he hears a voice behind him as loud and clear as a trumpet declaring, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last!" Alpha and Omega is the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. Christ was describing Himself as being the eternal, complete, revelation of God and He was commanding John to write what he would see in a book to be preserved for the Church. When John turned to see the source of the mighty voice making this declaration, Jesus Christ, in all His power and glory was unveiled before his eyes. John saw into the realm of the Spirit and he was so overcome at Christ's awesome presence that he was fearful and fell at His feet as though he were dead! Everything that was said here is in red, this means it is all said by Jesus Himself. Here Jesus is saying to John to write down everything he sees, and put it in a book, and send it to the churches. I really believe that it was not just to these seven physical churches, but to all the churches which are all the believers in Jesus Christ. As we begin to see the problems in these churches, we can easily relate it to problems that we see in our churches today. We can also look at the things that God is pleased with in these churches, and we will know what He finds pleasing in our church. These churches were not physically very far from where John was on the island so he was familiar with them. There were about sixty known churches at the time this was written, so we must note that these were chosen for their peculiarities of worship. John did not choose these, Jesus did. The purpose in sending these messages to the churches is so they can see their error and change. Take one more note that this is from Jesus the everlasting one, the A to Z. This message, that John is to write down, is what he sees and also hears. Sometimes it is difficult for us to recognize what he is describing. You have to remember that John is describing things he has never seen. Things that would not be in existence until thousands of years after his time. You can imagine how he would describe a helicopter or a jet airplane. This vision is very similar to the parables. This, as the parables, must be spiritually discerned. 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; You understand that we cannot see a voice. This is saying, I turned to see where this voice was coming from. This is not one candlestick with seven flutes, but rather seven separate stands. John wants us to see, not the happenings, but the one that causes it to happen. This revealing is not of historical events but revealing Jesus to us. One thing we see by the seven separate candlesticks is that there is light enough for each of these churches. They can have their own light. The gold in these stands indicates the presence of God, because the spiritual meaning of gold is purity of God. These churches' light or knowledge is not worldly wisdom. This knowledge and light comes from God. 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks [one] like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Where two or three are gathered in the name of the Lord there He is in the midst of them. This garment down to the foot is a priestly robe, a robe of authority. This "Son of man" is Jesus who is in the midst of the church. This golden girdle is saying that this is God. Christ was wearing the robe of the High Priest. John states He was "clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle." In the Old Testament, the high priests wore full length robes with a girdle made of fine linen, embroidered with needlework, secured around their waist. In this vision, Christ had on the robe of a high priest, but the girdle He wore around His chest was made of gold, which denotes the dignity of an important office and signifies His office as our Great High Priest "But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7 verses 24 to 25) The three gifts that were brought to Jesus at His birth recognized Him for who He was. The gold recognized Him as God, the frankincense recognized Him as the perfect Lamb sacrifice, and the myrrh recognized Him as the groom of the bride of Christ. John sees Jesus in a body with a robe. Jesus, our High Priest, represents us before His Father. He is not an earthly high priest but a heavenly Priest. He appears before God to bless the Christians, to plead our case if you will. His appearance in the churches would be as the Son of man. In other words in a body as man. The purpose of the high priest was to take the sacrificial blood into the Holy of Holies; and that is just what Jesus did, when He carried His own precious blood to the Father to abolish our sin. Not to cover them up, but to do away with them. 1:14 His head and [his] hairs [were] white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes [were] as a flame of fire; Christ's hair was white like wool (Rev. 1 v.14). Christ's white hair is symbolic of His title, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Christ is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting. When the prophet Daniel had a similar vision, he also described Him as having hair "like pure wool, "raiment" white as snow, "and eyes "as a flame of fire." (Dan 7 v.9) Christ's eyes were as a flame of fire (Rev.1 v.14). This description is also found in Revelation 19 v.11-12 where Christ is pictured as a judge and Conqueror over the Antichrist and the nations of the earth who have gathered together for the Battle of Armageddon. His eyes of fire symbolize perfect discernment. John was at the transfiguration of Jesus and had seen a glimpse of what He would be like then. We are looking here through John's eyes as he describes what he sees. This white hair can mean several different things. One is that white hair goes with Daniel's description of the Ancient of Days. My own insight into this whiteness is because of the great Light. Jesus is the source of all light. We know that in heaven there is no need for the sun and moon, because of the presence of the Light which is Jesus. This much light can make anything look white. I am sure this hair is white, however. This white is so bright that no bleach on earth could make it so bright. The light just makes it look brighter. Jesus was seen of John as Son of man, but now John is seeing Him as the second person of the Godhead. This eternity of Jesus (now known as King of Kings and Lord of Lords) is showing in all His majesty. We have seen God throughout the Bible associated with fire. We read that God is a consuming fire. We saw Him in the burning bush, the fiery finger of God that burned the Ten Commandments in the rock, and we are told that Jesus baptizes with fire. This fire of the Holy Ghost cleanses us inside by burning out the old self making way for the new. Eyes indicate wisdom. Jesus' look is so full of wisdom and fire that it looks into our heart and purges out the sin with fire. This look (with these piercing, fiery eyes) will come into a Holy Ghost filled church and will burn so brightly that this look will purge the church. Those who cannot stand to be purged will leave. The church that is left, regardless of how small, will be lined up with the will of God. 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Christ's feet were "like unto fine brass". Brass, a strong, purified metal which results from intense heat, denotes the purity and power with which Christ will bring judgment upon the ungodly of the earth. This brass indicates the great strength and steadfastness of Jesus. Brass also means judgment and Jesus is the Judge. Jesus here is standing in the midst of the churches. Judgment begins at the house of God. Jesus has overcome Satan and the demons. We know the Word says that Satan, his demons, and all who reject Jesus have been judged; and they truly will spend an eternity in hell (furnace). The Bible says Satan is under Jesus' feet. Here this is Jesus, upright, not defeated, overcoming the devil and his angels. Christ's voice was "as the sound of many waters." The voice John first heard in his vision was described as "a great voice, as the sound of a trumpet," loud and clear. In this verse, John describes Christ's voice as "the sound of many waters" which is similar to the description given by the prophet in Ezekiel 43 v.2. His voice is mighty and powerful, beautiful but frightening. 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength. Out of Christ's mouth proceeded "a two edged sword". (Rev. 1 v.16) This sword represents the power and authority of Christ's words by which the world will be judged (Rev. 19 v.15) and those aligned with Satan and the Antichrist will be defeated. Christ's countenance was "as the sun shineth in his strength". The powerful light surrounding Christ was so blinding that John compared it to the powerful rays of the sun in all its strength. In 2 Thessalonians 2 v.8, Paul tells us that Christ will destroy the Antichrist with the brightness of His coming. Later on in the Book of Revelation (chapter 22), John tells us that in the New Jerusalem there will be no need of the sun, for the Lord God will be our light. The right hand has to do with the blessings of God. The right hand blessing was always the preferential blessing. These seven stars are blessed over abundantly of God because they are in the right hand of Jesus. It was a double blessing. These seven stars are the ministers of the churches. He calls them stars, because they must shine in the world. They do not produce light; they just reflect His Light to the world. Jesus said to light this light and set it on a hill where all can see. The darker the area, the more important it is to shine His Light, so that those in darkness can come to the Light. Jesus is the Word of God. The Bible proceeded out of His mouth. The Bible is the written Word of God. God is the author. People like Paul and John are just the penman, moved upon by the Holy Spirit to put it down for all to see. This Bible is the two-edged sword, Old and New Testament. This two-edged sword (law and grace) is the only weapon that God's people need. The Bible itself says, "piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit" Hebrews 4: v.12. The Word separates good and evil. The cutting edge of the Word sometimes even separates families. One who believes the Word cannot go back to their old sinful lives, and this divides families and friends sometimes. In John 1: v.1 We read. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." This Word divides the Spirit from the flesh. If you read it much, the Word will convict you of sin in your life. It will cause you to seek God and be saved. The Word is powerful. The power of Jesus is beyond comprehension. He is the Word. His Power, through His Word, has changed the whole world. He is Power. He is the source of all power, energy, and light. There is no power greater. 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: John was totally overwhelmed by this vision of Jesus. The manifested glory of God was like a thousand suns and moons all in one! How do you see Christ? Do you see Him as a babe in the manger? Do you see Him only as He was when He lived upon the earth 2000 years ago? Or do you see Him as He really is today, seated in power and majesty at His Father's side? You may have heard about Jesus all your life. You may even be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, but have you really received a revelation of Him, "a drawing away of the veil of darkness" to see Christ as He really is? How do you see Christ? John had never seen Jesus like this. He was so overcome with the vision of Christ that he: "fell at his feet as dead." When you really catch a vision of Jesus, you, too, will be totally overwhelmed, when you really understand His awesome power and majesty! God's message to you today, is the same as it was to His Apostle John: Fear Not! The same message the angel gave to Mary at the annunciation: Fear Not! The phrase "fear not": is used over eighty times in the Bible and generally it is to quiet the fears of man in God's Presence. God is also saying to you today, as He did to John: do not fear your desperate circumstances. Do not fear the future. The One who was dead but is now alive is standing right by your side! There is nothing to fear because Jesus has conquered death and hell. He has power and authority over them. He has absolute power and authority and He wants you to see Him as he really is, high and lifted up, exalted above all things in heaven and on earth. When you face sickness, disappointments, heartaches, financial problems, and family problems do you see Christ standing beside you as the Great High Priest making intercession for you? Do you see the Mighty Conqueror of death and hell standing ready to give you the victory? Many believers are living in defeat because their vision of Christ is limited to their natural minds. God wants to take you beyond the limitations of your natural mind so that you may see Him as He is and really know Him in the fullness of His manifested power. The Apostle Paul prayed that the Ephesians would receive "a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him". (Eph. 1 v.17) Paul was not talking about head knowledge, but a revelation deep within their spirits. Jesus Christ, in His glorified state of majesty and power, is depicted as standing in the midst of His Church: Earlier we had seen Jesus standing in the midst of the churches (candlesticks). His appearance was: hair white as snow, eyes of fire, and feet of brass. A very awesome figure. The majesty of His person was overwhelming. We see here the effect that this presence had on John. If we were to come face to face with Jesus, this is the effect it would have on us, as well. When anyone encounters the presence of God, you cannot stand. Kneeling is not even enough. John fell flat on his face at His feet. He was totally humbled by this presence. This awesome appearance was almost too much for John. He appeared to be dead. People have difficulty bowing to God in church. Believe me, if you are before Him, there is no difficulty at all. He is God; we are just people. Do not let anyone convince you that you and I are on the level of God. It is not true. We are now and always will be, subordinate to Him. We see here that Jesus has compassion on John and reaches and touches John with His right hand. Just one touch from Jesus calms the greatest fears. He reassures John when Jesus says to him, "Fear not". Jesus is always there comforting and encouraging Christians. Just as Jesus said in John chapter 14:1, "Let not your heart be troubled". Fear is not of God. Peace is what Jesus brings. We just need to trust Him. The fear we need is of God, no one or nothing else. The fear of God could be better stated as reverence. Here we see in red Jesus speaking of Himself, "I am the first and the last:". This is similar to what God told Moses when he asked God who could he say sent him. He answered, "I AM" Exodus 3:14. Am is present tense, no beginning no end. The earth is the only place that there is time, as we know it. In heaven there is no separation of time by light and dark. There is only one eternal day. God is eternity. This is difficult for us to understand only because we are trapped here with a cycle of time. twenty-four hour day, seven day week, three hundred and sixty-five day year, twelve month year. Eternity cannot be understood by flesh. 1:18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Jesus is explaining here. He is the same one who took on the form of flesh and died on the cross for our sins. This is interesting. We must not only believe who He is and that He saved us, but we must believe that He rose from the grave. His body is what died and rose again. Jesus, when He descended into hell, took the keys of hell away from the devil. When He arose, He did away with death. Death was the last enemy to be done away with. The devil cannot put anyone in hell. Jesus is the only one who can do that. Jesus has the key. No one can enter, or exit, without Him. When Jesus said "I am He that liveth", it is life forevermore. Jesus Christ, as the absolute living one, He has life in Himself, He is life, He is our source of life, and He has control of everything, in heaven, earth, and hell. Jesus brought many souls out of hell when He preached in hell. Jesus is Life. He controls our destiny. We choose (He controls) either heaven or hell eternally. 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Verse19 is the key verse that unlocks the door to the entire outline of the book. It is further evidence of the threefold division of this great Revelation. John was told expressly by Christ to write, what you have seen: To write the things which were. The things he saw, all that was revealed to him through the different visions. What is now: To write the things which are, (referring to the condition of the churches in Asia Minor at that time), and what will take place later: To write concerning the things which were to come: The events which would happen in the future as God fulfilled His end time plan. The literal translation of Rev. 4 v.1 reads "things which must be after these things" meaning that the things of Revelation chapters 4-22 must be fulfilled after the "things" revealed pertaining to the churches in Revelation chapters 2-3. John is commissioned of Jesus to write these things down so that they will be of use to all who read it. He is also telling John not to leave anything out. 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. A mystery is a hidden message. Not for the world, but for the church. The mystery is Jesus. In this case it is the Truth and the Word that is kept secret. Jesus is widely proclaimed, but few really have the understanding or knowing of Him. The seven stars are the messengers (not angels because angels are never leaders in the church). These messengers are the key elders or ministers representing each of those churches. Whoever, or whatever, they are, they spread the Light. Jesus is the source of this Light. He is holding and protecting these stars in His right hand. If these are ministers of God, they have no power in themselves. The Light that they give out comes from Him. This is one of the reasons that I believe preachers should be moved upon by the Holy Spirit of God, and receive their message for the church through the Spirit from God. I do not believe that ministers should buy, or be sent, messages from other people to be used to give to the church. Jesus' Spirit is in each church, if we are His. He knows the problem of each specific church on a given day, and He alone knows what message needs to be brought. These seven candlesticks, we are told here, are the seven churches symbolic of all churches for then and now. A candlestick is not a light. It is the holder for the Light. These candlesticks lift the Light up for all to see. That is the exact purpose of the church, to elevate the Light, Jesus. These candlesticks have to be cared for and fueled to be able to burn. The minister and the church are difficult to separate. We know this is speaking of the church and the ministry of the church. I believe that the stars are ministers held in Jesus' hand. I believe these letters were actually written to these particular churches describing conditions that were going on then. But perhaps a more important message for us to see, is the message in each of them dealing with the problems in our churches right now. Next week we will start in part 2 of 1, we will dive into the Bible in the book of Revelation, Chapter 1 and may go into chapter 2. Lets close in prayer.
