Endtimes Part 4 From the Book of Revelation (part 1)
Just a Quick Note to the Blog Readers the Expositors Notes are in Bold Italic Font
Part 2 of this will be Next week
As many of you know, I will be reading out of the expositor’s Study Bible, which is a King James. You are welcome to follow along with a regular King James, but I do recommend that those of you who does not have an expositor’s Study Bible, get one soon. We will be reading the expositor notes as well. Let me tell ya, I Thank God for the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries for putting it together. This book really as opened up my spiritual eyes, big time. I have been in Church and have grown up in the Church, which most of the time was around false doctrine, but the Holy Ghost as been moving me with the Truth from the Word of God, through this book.
Get this book soon and get rid of those other books. With this book and the regular King James, you can’t go wrong. I have been stressed for the past few day’s, big time.
Living as a Christian is not an easy thing to do, at times. To be one with God and to live the life of Jesus Christ, whom is God, you have to deny yourselves, meaning your old sinful ways and leave them behind, live, walk and talk like how Jesus did. If you have accepted Jesus Christ into your hearts, then you should not be living as like the rest of the fallen, sinful world. We live in the world, but we must be separate from the world. John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. If we have Christ in our hearts, then we need to start living like Him, and not like the world. We need to be living in God’s Righteousness and not for the unrighteousness, that would lead more lost souls to hell and many of our Churches are doing just that, by teaching a different Gospel from books that should be destroyed. I am a follower of God, I try to help so many people in different areas of their lives, I take people to store’s when they need to get food or doctor’s appointments, I have helped a long time friend with his drumming building business for a while now. I feel that performing these services is a service that I am doing for the Kingdom of God and some say that people are taking an advantage of me. Friends will have complications at times and its expected. When things seems to go wrong, like what happened this past week, I attend to close myself up and start hoping that God will get me out of here. Through the power of prayer from friends, my Church and the power of God, I was able to overcome these issues. I have friends that don’t understand my thinking and thoughts on my decisions, but it is the way that God as shown me the way to go. Troubled times is one of the devils schemes to make a person to mentally and emotionally break down. It is the signs of the end times.
END TIMES PART 4 FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION, Bible Study.
Revelation 12:1-17 pg. 2199 - 2200
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven (should have been translated, “a great sign in Heaven”); a woman clothed with the sun (speaks of National Israel with the “Sun” being a symbol of her Glory), and the moon under her feet (speaks of dominion, hence, the mention of her feet), and upon her head a crown of twelve stars (speaks of dominion regained and Israel restored): (2) And she being with child cried (pertains to the 144,000 Jews who will be saved in the first half of the Great Tribulation [Rev., Chpt. 7]), travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. (This concerns spiritual pregnancy, with agonies of childbirth typifying in the physical what will take place in the spiritual [Isa. 66:7-8].) (3) And there appeared another wonder in heaven (should have been translated, “another sign”); and behold a great red dragon (denotes Satan and his murderous purpose, typified by the color of “red”), having seven heads (refers to Empires that persecuted Israel, even until John’s Day; those Empires were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome) and ten horns (represents ten nations that will be ruled by the Antichrist in the last days, and will greatly persecute Israel; actually, the seventh head is those ”ten horns”; Daniel tells us that these ”ten horns” representing ten nations will be in the old Roman Empire Territory, which refers to the Middle East and parts of Europe [Dan. 7:7]), and seven crowns upon his heads (represents the fact that Satan controlled these particular kingdoms). (4) And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven (this goes all the way back to the original rebellion of Lucifer against God; at that time, one-third of the Angels threw in their lot with him; we know these “stars” represent Angels, because Verse 9 tells us so), and did cast them to the earth (is given to us more clearly in Verses 7-9): and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered (does not pertain to the birth of Christ as many claim, but rather the man child which is the 144,000 Jews who will give their hearts to Christ [Chpt 7]), for to devour her child as soon as it was born. (This pertains to the fact that the Antichrist will hate these Jews who have come to Christ. This will take place in the first half of the Great Tribulation, and may well be the primary reason the Antichrist will turn on Israel at that time.) (5) And she (Israel) brought forth a man child (as stated , this is the 144,000 Jews who will come to Christ during the first half of the Great Tribulation [Chpt. 7] ; we aren’t told exactly how this will be done), who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron (Israel, under Christ, will definitely fill this role in the coming Millennial Reign): and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (This refers to the Rapture of the 144,000, which will take place at about the midpoint of the Great Tribulation.) (6) And the woman fled into the wilderness (the “woman” is National Israel; at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist will turn on Israel and defeat her, with many thousands of Jews fleeing into the wilderness), where she hath a place prepared of God (this place is actually ancient Petra, located in Jordan [Isa. 16:1-5]), that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (“They” mentioned here refers oddly enough to the Arabs of Jordan. The 1,260 days constitute almost all of the last half of the Great Tribulation. Incidentally, Petra is now empty of people, awaiting the arrival of Israel.) (7) And there was war in heaven (pertains to the “Mystery of God” being finished [Rev 10:7]): Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels (this pertains to Satan and all of the Angels who followed him being cast out of Heaven, which will take place at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation; why the Lord has allowed Satan and his minions to remain in Heaven all of this time, we aren’t told; it is a “Mystery,” but it will now be finished), (8) And prevailed not (Satan will then be defeated; incidentally, it is not Satan who instigates this war, but rather the Archangel Michael at the Command of God); neither was their place found any more in heaven (joins with the close of the book of Revelation, where the Evil One has no more place on Earth as well, but rather the place of torment forever and ever [20:10]). (9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan (he is referred to as “the Great Dragon” because of his propensity to “steal, kill, and destroy” [Jn. 10:10]; he is the “old serpent”because in his first appearance in the Bible, he chose to work through a serpent; thereby, he is what the curse caused the serpent to be, wryly subtle, and treacherous), which deceives the whole world (deception is his greatest weapon; he deceives, and is himself deceived): he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him (pronounces the beginning of the end for this evil monster). (10) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven (presents the white-robe wearers of Rev. 6:10-11), Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God (presents the triumph of Christ), and the power of his Christ (refers to the fact that Christ will rule this world, not Satan): for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (This implies that either Satan or one of his fallen angels is before the Throne of God, accusing the Brethren constantly [Job, Chpts. 1-2].) (11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb (the power to overcome and overwhelm the Kingdom of Satan is found exclusively in the Blood of the Sacrifice of the Son of God, and our Faith in that Finished Work [Rom. 6:3-5, 11, 14]), and by the word of their testimony (the “testimony” must pertain to the fact that the Object of our Faith is the Cross, and exclusively the Cross, which then gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work within our lives); and they loved not their lives unto the death. (This refers to the fact that the Believer must not change his testimony regarding the Cross to something else, even if it means death.) (12) Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. (Heaven rejoices because Satan has no more access to those portals.) Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath (the “woe” mentioned here is the third and final woe, and pertains to Satan being cast out of Heaven, down to this Earth; he will have great anger), because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (in order to carry out his plan; failing that he is doomed!). (13) And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (That’s when, as stated, the Antichrist will break his seven year Covenant with Israel, attacking and defeating her [Dan. 9:27].) (14) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place (the Lord will help Israel at that time, and do so greatly; as stated, this refers to Petra, which is located in modern Jordan), where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent (refers to three and one half years, the last half of the Great Tribulation; the Antichrist will take his armies elsewhere, thinking to take care of the remnant a little later [Dan. 11:44]). (15) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman (refers to the army of the Antichrist, which has just defeated Israel and is now bent on completely destroying her), that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. (The man of sin fully intends to destroy Israel at this time, but the Lord will intervene to stop him, as the next Verse proclaims.) (16) And the earth helped the woman (probably refers to the Lord sending an earthquake), and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. (This proclaims the action that helps the woman [Israel] hurts the dragon. As stated, it will probably be an earthquake!) (17) And the dragon was wroth with the woman (Israel has escaped out of the clutches of Satan one more time), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (after the Rapture of the 144,000 Jews, with their Testimony still ringing out over Israel, no doubt, many other Jews will accept Christ at that time and make up the “Remnant”), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (As stated, this refers to the fact that this Remnant of Jews, ever how many there will be, will have accepted Christ, hence, greatly angering Satan.)
Isaiah 66:7-8 pg. 1224
(7) Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. (As the Sixth Verse speaks of the Second Coming, this Verse speaks of the events immediately preceding that all-important occasion. Verses 7 through 17 speaks not only of the travail of Israel, which will take place during the Great Tribulation, but, as well, of her Redemption. “She was delivered of a man child,” refers to the 144,000 Jews who will be saved during the first half of the Great Tribulation [Rev. 7:4-8].) (8) Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. (It is as if the Holy Spirit, anticipating the incredulity of the Reader, asks, “Who has heard such a thing?” The statement, “For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children,” refers to the terrible horror of the latter half of the Great Tribulation, and especially the Battle of Armageddon, when it looks like Israel will be totally annihilated. In this terrible judgment, producing great “travail,” Israel will be brought back to God. These birth pangs of Israel are referred to here and in the following [Dan. 12:1; Zech 12:10 Zech 13:1; Mat. 24:8, 15-22; Rev. 12: 1-6, 14].)
Daniel 7:7 pg. 1488
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. (This beast represents the Roman Empire, which was the strongest and most powerful of all. It lasted for nearly a thousand years. The phrase, “And it had ten horns,” speak of that which was part of this beast, and for a particular reason. But it had nothing to do with the conquests of the original Roman Empire. These “ten horns” portray ten kingdoms which will arise in the latter days, in fact, in the very near future. These ten nations will persecute Israel.)
Revelation 7:1-17 pg. 2192 - 2193
And after these things (the first parenthetical Passage, coming between the sixth and seventh Seals) I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth (represents the universality of God’s Administration), holding the four winds of the earth (actually refers to Judgment, which will be stopped for a short period of time), that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. (The winds of Judgment strive to be turned loose, but they are held in abeyance by the omnipotence of Almighty God.) And I saw another angel ascending from the east (the advent of this Angel portrays the fact that this is the beginning of the Restoration Of Israel), having the seal of the living God (pertains to the Seal of Salvation [2 Tim. 2:19]): and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea(the Judgments are to be held in check), (3) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. (This is not literal, but rather a token, as the sprinkled blood on the lentil protected the house from destroying Angel at the first Passover.) (4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel (12,000 from each Tribe; these are the Firstfruits of Israel which are included in the First Resurrection, with all of Israel coming to Christ at the Second Coming). (5) Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. (6) Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. (7) Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. (8) Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph (Ephraim) were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. (The Tribe of Dan is omitted, and no reason is given.) (9) After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude (pertains to martyrs who gave their lives for the Lord Jesus Christ in the Great Tribulation), which no man could number (represents the many, possibly millions, who will be saved in the Great Tribulation), of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb (by use of the word “Lamb,” we know and realize that their sin stained garments have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb), clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands (could be paraphrased, “dressed in richest wedding garments of purest, dazzling, white”; these are God’s Blood-bought; the palms represent Joy [Neh. 8:17]); (10) And cried with a loud voice (proclaims great joy), saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (Once again, we are told here how God has brought about Salvation. It is through what Jesus did at the Cross, and through that means alone.) (11) And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God (this tremendous volume of worship and praise has to do with what Jesus did at the Cross, in His Atoning for all sin by giving of Himself in Sacrifice), (12) Saying, Amen (is the proclamation that God has provided Salvation to humanity through the Work of the Lamb): Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. (As the praises to God the Father are Sevenfold, they are also sevenfold to God the Son [Rev. 5:12]. This shows that both God and the Lamb are regarded in Heaven as entitled to equal praise.) (13) And one of the elders answered, saying unto me (proclaims one of the 24 addressing questions that are in John’s mind, but have not been asked), What are these which are arrayed in white robes? (This would be better Translated, “Who are these?”) and whence came they? (Where do they come from?) (14) And I said unto him, Sir, you know (presents reverent regard, but definitely not worship). And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation (refers to a specific group), and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (They were saved by trusting Christ and what He did at the Cross. In the Book of Revelation, the emphasis placed on the Cross is overwhelming.) (15) Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple (all of this particular group came out of the Great Tribulation): and he Who sits on the throne shall dwell among them. (The One Who sits on the Throne will cast His protecting Tabernacle over all the Saints of God, which, in effect, is His Presence.) (16) They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat (proclaims a perfect environment). (17) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them (not only did the Lamb save them, but He as well “shall feed them”; not only does our Salvation come by and through what Jesus did at the Cross, but we “live” by what Jesus did for us at the Cross as well), and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters (symbolic of the Holy Spirit [Jn. 7:37-39]): and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (All things causing sorrow will be forever gone.)
Isaiah 16:1-5 pg. 1127
Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela (Petra) to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. (The “lamb” refers to Israel. At the midpoint of the Great Tribulation, when the Antichrist attacks Israel , showing his true colors, Israel will then flee to Moab, which is modern-day Jordan [Mat. 24:15-24; Rev. 12:6, 14].) (2) For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. (The “wandering bird” speaks of Moab, who will be highly disturbed at the events that are taking place when the Antichrist suddenly attacks Israel, and Israel is forced to flee. Moab [Jordan] will welcome Israel at that time.) (3) Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him who wanders. (Once again, Israel is referred to as “the outcasts.” Moab is instructed to hide these outcasts, and not to betray them.) (4) Let my outcasts dwell with you, Moab; be you a covert to them from the face of the spoiler (the Antichrist): for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. (The “extortioner,” the “spoiler,” and the “oppressor” are all names for the Antichrist. The Holy Spirit requests of “Moab” at the time of the invasion by the Antichrist that His “outcasts” dwell with them. The place that is being spoken of is Petra, which is in present-day Jordan. For this reason, the Holy Spirit will cause the country of Jordan to escape out of the hand of the Antichrist [Dan. 11:40-45].) (5) And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness. (We are emphatically told here that the “Tabernacle of David” shall be once again set up, which will take place after the Church Age [Acts 15:13-18].)
Revelation 10:7 pg 2196
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound (proclaims the beginning of the last half of the Great Tribulation, which will be worse than ever), the mystery of God should be finished (this “Mystery” pertains to the reason God has allowed Satan to continue his reign over this Earth for these thousands of years [2 Cor. 4:4]), as he hath declared to his servants the prophets (Isa. 14:12-20; Ezek. 28:11-19).
Revelation 7:4-8 pg. 2192
(4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel (12,000 from each Tribe; these are the Firstfruits of Israel which are included in the First Resurrection, with all of Israel coming to Christ at the Second Coming). (The Tribe of Dan is omitted, and no reason is given.)
Daniel 12:1 pg. 1504
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. (“Michael” is the great “Archangel”; he is also referred to as “the Great Prince.” He is the Lord Protector of Israel, “which stands for the children of your people.” If not for him, Israel would no doubt be annihilated at this time.
“A time of trouble, such as never was since there was a Nation even to the same time,” is the same thing Jesus would say, and concerns the Last three and a half years of the Great Tribulation [Mat. 24:21].
“And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the Book,” refers to the translation of the 144,000 Jews at approximately the middle of the Great Tribulation. This is the “ man child” of Rev. 12:5.
Exactly how these 144,000 Jews will find Christ as their Saviour, especially during the first half of the Great Tribulation when Israel in fact will think the Antichrist is the Messiah, is unknown at present; however, if the Bible says it will happen [which it definitely does], then it will happen!
There is no mention here of the Church except possibly in Verse 3. The Reason is simple: these Prophecies have to do with “your people” [10:14]. The “Book” spoken of is the Book of Life [Rev. 22:18-19].)
Zechariah 12:10 Pg. 1624
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (“And I will pour. . .,” refers to the Lord pouring out fire upon Zion’s adversaries, but the Holy Spirit upon her inhabitants [2 Thess. Chpt. 1]. If one is to notice, the Messiah Himself is speaking in the entirety of this Chapter as far as the word “pierced”; then the Holy Spirit points to the moral effect produced by the revelation. “Upon the House of David,” proclaims the Promise originally given to David concerning his seed upon the Throne of Israel [2 Sam. 7:12-16].
The phrase, “I will pour upon them the Spirit of Grace,” concerns the goodness of God and means they are No longer trusting in their Law, but instead the “Grace of God,” which is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. “And I will pour upon them the Spirit of Supplications,” speaks of Israel supplicating the Lord and the Lord supplicating the Father on their behalf. The word means “to ask humbly and earnestly.”
“And they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced,” identifies who and what they are and Who He is. “And they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son,” now proclaims the Moral effect produced by this Revelation, as given by the Holy Spirit. They will then Make their supplications to Him for Mercy and Forgiveness. “And shall be in bitterness for Him,” means “a sense of intense shame.” It speaks of True Repentance.
The last phrase, “As one who is in bitterness for his firstborn,” refers to the loss of an only son, the firstborn. In effect, they killed their own son, and the firstborn at that, which meant that the family line could not continue; it was, in fact, destroyed, at least as far as the Covenant was concerned; however, this “Son,” or “Firstborn,” rose from the dead. Even Though they would not accept it then, they will accept it now-- and because He lives, they shall live also!)
Zechariah 13:1 Pgs. 1624 - 1625
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. (“In that day,” occurs eighteen times from 9:16 through 14:21. This shows how precious “that day” is to the Messiah’s Heart. In that day, His Victory over the enemies of His People will be great, but greater will be His Moral Victory over His People themselves.
The Christian’s true triumphs are God’s Triumphs over him, And God’s Triumphs over His People are their only victories. Such was Jacob of old, who represented Israel in that coming Glad Day. The Conversion of the Apostle Paul illustrates the future conversion of Israel. He hated Jesus , but on Damascus Road, he looked upon Him Whom he had pierced, mourned, and wept.
The phrase, “ In that day there shall be a fountain opened,” does not mean that it is the first opened there, but that Israel will only begin to partake of it “in that day,” i.e., the beginning of the Kingdom Age. This fountain was historically opened at Calvary, but will be consciously opened to repentant Jews in the future day of her Repentance. For the fact and function of that fountain only becomes conscious to the awakened sinner.
A true sense of sin and guilt in a relationship to God awakens the sense of the need of cleansing, and so the shed and cleansing Blood of the Lamb of God becomes precious to convicted conscience. As well the Ever--living efficacy of Christ’s Atoning Work, with its power to cleanse the conscience and the life, is justly comparable to a fountain and not to a font. The sense of the Hebrew Text is that this Fountain shall be opened and shall remain open.
“To the House of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness,” portrays the Possibility that, of all the sinners, the Jerusalem that stoned the Prophets and crucified the Messiah; therefore, great sinners may hope for pardon and cleansing in this Fountain opened for the House of David.
The entrance of Christ judges sin, unmasks its true character, and arouses a moral consciousness which approves that judgment. That entrance dominates, adjusts, disciplines, instructs, and cleanses mans affections, relationships, and desires. All of this must be cleansed, not only in Israel of a future day, but also in any and all of who come to Christ. That Fountain is open to all!)
Matthew 24:8, 15-22 pg. 1695-1696
(8) All these are the beginning of sorrows (first half of the Great Tribulation). 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (speaks of the Antichrist invading Israel, and taking over the Temple), (whoso reads, let him understand:) (Reads it in the Word of God [Dan. 8:9-14; 9:27; 11:45; 12:1,7,11].) (16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains (when the Antichrist invades Israel at the mid-point of the Great Tribulation): (17) Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house (houses are flat on top in that part of the world; during the summer, people often sleep on top of the house; speaks of the necessity of haste): (18) Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. (19) And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! (The necessity of fleeing will be so urgent, that it will be difficult for pregnant women, and mothers with little babies.) (20) But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter (bad weather), neither on the sabbath day (concerns the strict religious observance of the Sabbath, doesn’t permit travel): (21) For then shall be great tribulation (the last three and one half years), such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (the worst the world has ever known, and will be so bad that it will never be repeated). (22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved (refers to Israel coming close to extinction): but for the elect's (Israel) sake those days shall be shortened (by the Second Coming).
John 10:10 pg. 1867
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (speaks of Satan and his emissaries who peddle a false way of Salvation): I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (the Source of this “Life” is Christ; all true Believers have such; however, all true Believers enjoy such only by constant Faith in Christ and the Cross).
Romans 6:3-5, 11, 14 pg 1978
(3)Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ (plainly says
that this Baptism is into Christ and Not Water [1 Cor. 1:17; 12:13; Gal. 3:27;
Eph. 4:5; Col. 2:11-13]) were baptized into his death? (When Christ died on the
Cross, in the Mind of God, we died with Him; in other words, He became
our Substitute, and our identification with Him in His Death gives us all
the benefits for which He died; the idea is that He did it all for us!) (4)
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death (not only did we die with
Him, but we were buried with Him as well, which means that all the sins
and transgressions of the past were buried; when they put Him in the
Tomb, they put all our sins into the Tomb as well): that like as Christ was
raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life (we died with Him, we were buried with him, and His
Resurrection was our Resurrection to a “Newness of Life”). (5) For if we
have been planted together (with Christ) in the likeness of his death (Paul
proclaims the Cross as the Instrument through which all Blessings come;
consequently, the Cross must ever be the Object of our Faith, which gives
the Holy Spirit latitude to work within our lives), we shall be also in the
likeness of his resurrection(we can have the “likeness of His Resurrection,” i
.e., “live this Resurrection Life,” only as long as we understand the
“likeness of His Death,” which refers to the Cross as the Means by which
all of this is done): (11) Likewise reckon (account) you also yourselves to be dead
indeed unto (the) sin (while the sin nature is not dead, we are dead unto the
sin nature by virtue of the Cross and our Faith in that Sacrifice, but only
as long as our Faith continues in the Cross), but alive unto God (living the
Resurrection Life) through Jesus Christ our Lord (refers to what He did at the
Cross, which is the means of this Resurrection Life). (14) For sin shall not have
dominion over you (the sin nature will not have dominion over us if we as
Believers continue to Exercise Faith in the Cross of Christ; otherwise, the
sin nature most definitely will have dominion over the Believer): for ye are
not under the law (means that if we try to live this life by any type of Law no
matter how good that Law might be in its own right, we will conclude by
the sin nature having dominion over us), but under grace (the Grace of God
flows to the Believer on an unending basis only as long as the Believer
exercises Faith in Christ and what He did at the Cross; Grace is merely the
goodness of God exercised by and through the Holy Spirit, and given to
undeserving Saints).
1 Corinthians 1:17 pg. 2003
For Christ sent me not to baptize (presents to us a Cardinal Truth), but to preach
the gospel (the manner in which one may be Saved from sin): not with
wisdom of words (intellectualism is not the Gospel), lest the cross of Christ should
be made of none effect. (This tells us in no uncertain terms that the Cross of
Christ must always be the emphasis of the Message.)
1 Corinthians 12:13 Pgs. 2021-2022
For by one Spirit (the Holy Spirit alone does this) are we all baptized into one body (at Salvation, the Holy Spirit Baptizes the Believing sinner into the Body of Christ, which is the Born-Again experience; it doesn’t refer to Water Baptism), whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free (all must come in the same manner, “by and through Jesus Christ and what He did at the Cross”); and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (The Holy Spirit is the agent Who affects the work of Redemption carried out in our lives, which is made possible by the Death, Burial, Resurrection, Ascension, and Exaltation of Christ.)
Galatians 3:27 Pg 2054
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ (refers to the Baptism into His Death and Calvary [Rom. 6:3-5]; the reference is not to Water Baptism) have put on Christ (means to be clothed with Him [Jn. 14:20]).
Ephesians 4:5 Pg. 2066
One Lord (Jesus Christ), one faith (what He did at the Cross), one baptism (our Salvation, referring to Believers Baptized into Christ, which was done at the Cross; it has nothing to do with Water Baptism [Rom. 6:3-5]),
Colossians 2:11-13 Pgs. 2082-2083
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (that which is brought about by the Cross [Rom. 6:3-5]), in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ (refers to the old carnal nature that is defeated by the Believer placing his Faith totally in the Cross, which gives the Holy Spirit latitude to work): (12) Buried with him in baptism (does not refer to Water Baptism, but rather to the Believer baptized into the death of Christ, which refers to the Crucifixion and Christ as our substitute [Rom. 6:3-4]), wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. (This does not refer to our future physical Resurrection, but to that spiritual Resurrection from a sinful state into Divine Life. We died with Him [Rom. 6:3-5], and herein lies the secret to all Spiritual Victory.) (13) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh (speaks of spiritual death [i.e., “separation from God”], which sin does!), hath he quickened together with him (refers to being made spiritually alive, which is done through being “Born-Again”), having forgiven you all trespasses (the Cross made it possible for all manner of sins to be forgiven and taken away);
Daniel 9:27 pg 1497
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (“And he shall confirm,” refers to the Antichrist. The phrase, “And in the midst of the week,” refers to three and a half years, at which time the Antichrist will show his true colors and stop the sacrifices in the newly built Temple. At that time, he will actually invade Israel, with her suffering her first defeat since her formation as a Nation in 1948. “Even until the consummation,” means until the end of the seven-year Great Tribulation period. The phrase, “And that determined shall be poured out upon the desolate,” refers to all the Prophecies being fulfilled regarding the great suffering that Israel will go through the last three and a half years of the Great Tribulation [Mat. 24:21-22].)
Daniel 11:44 pg 1504
But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. (After the Antichrist breaks his covenant with Israel, actually “entering into the Glorious Land,” he will be prevented from further destroying her by the “tidings of the east and out of the north” that “shall trouble him.” No doubt, these will be nations, probably led by Russia [north] Japan, and China [east], forming a union against him, but which will have no success.)
John 7:37-39
37In the last day, that great day of the feast (spoke of the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles), Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink (presents the greatest invitation ever given to mortal man). 38 He who believes on me (it is “not doing,” but rather, “believing”), as the scripture has said (refers to the Word of God being the Story of Christ and Him Crucified; all of the Sacrifices pointed to Christ and what He would do at the Cross, as well as the entirety of the Tabernacle and Temple and all their appointments), out of his belly (innermost being) shall flow rivers of living water (speaks of Christ directly, and Believers indirectly). 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit (Holy Spirit), which they who believe on him should receive ( it would begin on the Day of Pentecost): for the Holy Ghost was not yet given( He has now been given); because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (The time of which John wrote was shortly before the Crucifixion. When Jesus died on the Cross and was Resurrected three days later, He was raised with a Glorified Body, which was one of the signs that all sin had been atoned, now making it possible for the Holy Spirit to come in a new dimension.)
What a powerful lesson Amen? in this study, I hope and pray that you starting to have a better understanding about the end times. We have more to come yet. Many of the so called “Churches” tells their congregation that we should not worry about the end times, because it is non of our business, we just need to be ready. If your Church is feeding you this lie? Then its time to get out now and seek a Church who is not seeker sensitive. Churches who has Pastors who will not preach the full Truth from the Word of God, is leading, not just themselves to hell, but the congregation as well. You can be saved from that, just repent, accept Jesus Christ into your hearts and believe and have Faith in what Jesus Christ did for you on the Cross and you will be Baptized by the Holy Ghost and be Saved. As we have read in this lesson, Jesus Christ died for us on the Cross, He took our sins and nailed them on the Cross and died, so we don’t have too.
We were buried with him and became alive when He rose from the Grave. That is true, if you deny yourselves, turn away from your sinful ways of living, accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but you must approach God with a godly sorrow heart. I am going to share something else that you must do if you are going to be obedient to God. If you are Baptized by the Holy Ghost and will be reborn again, then you will be Saved. After Baptism of the Holy Ghost and have an understanding of it, you need to be Baptized by water. Water Baptism does not save anyone, but water Baptism is the part of God’s plan of Salvation to get to Heaven. Here, I will show you in Scripture. The baptism itself does not bring salvation; salvation inspires the water baptism.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
There you have it, from the Word of God.
If you would like to have us lay hands on you and pray with you as we close, raise your hand.
